Menya Musashi at Vivocity

I'm generally not a ramen kinda person. I'm more inclined to savoring sashimi and sushi as I love varieties. Previously, I used to love Ajisen Ramen, especially their Tontoro ramen because I love the texture of their noodles, the awesome broth and the generous amount of crisp and lean tontoro meat. However, I always suffer a severe stomach pain everytime I ate it, and dearie experienced it too. After repeated visits and continuous stomachaches, we've decided to avoid it. Thinking back, I wonder if it's because of my affected gallbladder at that moment, where I had problems digesting the oil....though again....while ramens usually comes with robust, strong flavours of oily soup....I didnt think it was overly oily.....hmmm.....

Anyway, once I was at Vivocity and my friends and I tried out Menya Musashi.

My friend had this, I avoided tasting because it was spicy.

Another friend had this. Dry version of...chicken maybe.

I had this; Smoked Duck Soup Ramen

Yummy!! I love smoked duck in any settings. Hee. Love the noodles, love the broth, thick and strong flavours beckoned to me. It does look kinda oily in the picture but I dont remember having any serious tummy upsets after consuming it. Hmm...just looking at it makes me hungry. Shall make a trip back to savor it soon. =) I kinda remembered the portion is kinda just nice for me, which might be small for most people but the price was rather friendly from the way I remembered. Service is normal, you'll pay at the counter after your meals.

Movie Review: The Lion Men, Part I

Movie: The Lion Men Part I
Ratings: 7.3/10
Comments: I really had high expectations of the movie after catching the trailer. Not to mention I thoroughly enjoyed Ah Boys to Men Part 1 and 2. But this......hmm.....I thought more emphasis are on the actions rather than the usual standard of crackling humor. So it's not as funny as I've expected....the actions are not bad though. The digital animations are considered commendable for an Asian production. It's a nice tribute to all the lion dance clubs. Not that I feel people dont respect them, but yeah I really feel they deserves a bigger share of respect.

I've always enjoyed lion dance performances but seldom get to see them. I'm most awed by performances on the 梅花庄。And call me old-fashioned, I prefer the traditional uniforms in red, the traditional fluffy lions, the traditional lion dance percussion music by drums etc rather the the new age ones in the movie. =D

And yes, I shall call them The Lion Men in future! =)

Something's so wrong with Jack Neo's taste in women. Why the prettiest one is always not the main lead? So funny, during the movie, I whispered to dearie the prettiest girl was so-called the 3rd female lead(the 2nd one being the plump one). And after the movie ended, we caught the lift with a bunch of young guys, and they were lamenting on the same thing; that the prettiest girl is the one I mentioned. LOL. But really what can we expect....when Jack Neo's mistress...or ex-mistress....that "model"....you know...hahaha

And and....the so-called "bad guy" in the movie who had to perform the lion dance stunts on the 梅花庄(I'm talking about the very Lao Beng with the cocky and heow face, I meant no offence but in the show he's enacting such a role mah) and somehow the stuntman(替身)'s face was captured. Wah lau he looked much better than the actor, why dont ask him to act instead? Isnt that easier, no need 替身 mah. Haha.

Initially I thought Tosh(ex-sergeant in ABTM) will be the 1st male lead...but I think Weiliang(ex lobang king) has a heavier role. I thought he acted not bad. Chen Tianwen is so cute in the show. Lol

Will definitely watch Part II.

Grace & Leonard Wedding Lunch at St Regis

It's dear Grace wedding!!! So happy for her!! She was laughing while saying, "Like finally right, lol". Really, aiyo....... The most important thing is for her to find the perfect and most suitable partner, it doesnt matter when you get married, it only matters how long your marriage lasts! =D

The wedding lunch banquet was being held at St Regis and it's my 1st time to attend a wedding banquet there. The settings were simply magical and whimsical, like a dream come true. Grace looked especially lovely and I love her wedding albums as well as all her framed pictures. So much so that I took pictures of them. Why, she looks like a little tranquil angel! Wishing her a very blessed marriage forever ever after. =D

These pictures are taken with my note 2 so their quality werent fantastic, I meant to take my camera but as usual, forgotten about it as I rushed out for the lunch.

She had 2 albums, one taken in Singapore and one in Taiwan. This pic was taken in Taiwan I think. Lovely isnt it? Well, gorgeous people looks good in whatever setting!

Peking duck appetizers reception with the chef

Yummy yummy with real duck meat and not overly saltish sauce. I had 6. Opps!

Somehow I feel the items belonged to Grace, her signature Rilakkuma. Lol.

The guestbook was on the table as well. Aiyo, I almost broke my back and expose my cute derrière while writing it. Me, with my high heels, almost for the 1st time in my life, finds a table too low for writing. Lol.

Spells opulence and grandeur

Actually there were 2 singers performing for the guests, with the female singer being the pianist. They performed quite a few different languages and were very pleasing to the ears.

Wedding favors are chocolates

=D~~~~~~~~~~~ Dessert buffet???!!! *SCREAMS*

The pretty bride and the handsome groom!!!

Great shot from my camera isnt it? But I think it's the spotlight that makes all the shots look stunning at this moment.

All the dishes were served individually and we literally felt like queens in our seats. The dishes simply ranged from good to wonderful. I enjoyed every single dish, especially the cod fish and the pork chop with the fried bun. Definitely dont mind a double serving. HAHA. The dishes were like fusion maybe. Oh instead, I forgot to take pictures of the desserts, consisting macaroons, cakes, chocolates, tiramisu, and the mago sago(pictured). Some cakes were finished before we had chance to take them.... =( I dont think they replenished the dessert buffet spread.......

2nd march in in her pink gown. Sweetness to the max!

Pretty toilet. Hahaha! Got lotions too~

With the pretty pride.
Ahhhh.......I really wont trust another guy with a camera anymore. The picture is blurred.

Even more blur. Arrgghhhh! Yes I did told him to take 2 shots, but the other one was beyond redemption. Zzzz....

Thanks for having me. Happy to be there to witness your marital unison. =D

New hair colour and highlights for the New Year!

Few days ago, I dyed, highlighted, and chopped off 3inches of my hair. That's QUITE alot. Erm, I also dont quite know how to describe this colour, ashy matt copper brown? With reddish pink highlights. I was told the highlights will slowly fade to baby pink and then into the same colour of my base...which might be alittleeee golden under the sunlight. Hopefully my clients can accept.....after all....it's just a hair colour! I'm still who I am you know... =)

Clair insisted on curling for me despite I said there's no need....because she said the curls will be nicer..... So funny...then I head home with this hair. Haha. The next day was Ah Boo's wedding though.

Now you know how short it really is. Anyway, I'm still glad the hair looks healthier now, after the spoilt ends were chopped off.... And to be very frank....I really loveeee the subtle highlights. It's still obvious there's a highlight job but not the kind who will make people "wahhhhh" at 1st sight. I think they look nice even when they're not curled. Highlights like these really makes straight hairso much more interesting. And I feel this hair length looks nice when only the ends were curled in...gives a demure look. Haha. Previously I DIY but those colours were semi-perm, but this time round it's (kinda) permanent.

But I worry...the base might get more and more golden with more washes.... oh well

S$100 for dye, highlight and cut, oh...including wash, blow, style(in a way). =D

Ahhhhh.............I have so many pictures which I haven blogged about. 2 weddings and a staycation...some shopping stuff etc....Oh...and should I do my Dec 2013 favorites....Lol

Movie Reivews: The legend of Hercules / Jack Ryan: the shadow recruit

Dearie just...somehow..."coerced" me into finishing 2 youtube videos featuring a couple of baby pandas playing for as long as 30minutes. No...actually it was like less than 10minutes but it actually felt that long. I was simply dumbstruck. He's usually not like that; he's more into funny talk shows like those by Kumar, David Letterman, Ellen Degeneres or some crappy comedians with weird slangs or else awesome vocals or magic shows in America's got talent. I think he's developing paternal instinct. I almost fainted when he went on to watch another video about some tiger chasing around a dog like the best of friends etc. Hmm..........

Anyway, these movie reviews are late because I got pretty sick the last few weeks. Currently on my 3rd course of antibiotics for my sorethroat and finally I'm able to speak like a female. And did I mention I was/am having this inhumane diet consisting of beehoon soup, fish slice soup, udon soup, whatever-soup etc without any fried, oily or spicy food for like a MONTH every since my operation of the removal of my gallbladder?! OMG it's god's love that I didnt go crazy! Anyway I couldnt bear it any longer just now and I ate Korean Char-grilled Chicken at BBQ Chicken and it was so nice! *wipes tears with hanky*

The chicken was marinated well and I love the fragrance of the spices and how tender the meat was. Although it was accompanied with no sauce, it was juicy without being dry nor oily. Thumbs up! However, the 2 sides I chose were disappointing. The mash wasnt smooth and were very dry without any sauce(I did asked but they said they dont serve any sauce for mash potato. *Dumb struck*) And the calamari wasnt fried well because it was SOAKING with oil and had a very soggy exterior. It was easy to bite though, not rubbery. The salad comes with thousand island sauce and was fine.

Yeah as expected I had a bad diarrhoea and slight tummy pain when I reached home. =( Sigh...oh well........but I'm fine after some rest.

Some movie reviews which came late.

Movie: Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
Ratings: 7/10
Comments: Started off slowly........got better towards the end. But really, I was expecting more intrigue, actions, thrills as per fitting a undercover movie? You know we Asians have watched so many undercover movies produced by HK and our standards were set pretty darn high........so yep.....a let down if you compare with HK undercover movies.

Movie: The Legend of Hercules
Ratings: 7/10
Comments: We actually didnt intend to watch this movie after watching the trailer....(I thought this Hercules wasnt as aesthetically pleasing as Kevin Sorbo, the Hercules in my childhood dreams, as in the television series, Hercules the legendary journey  :P I only watched a few episodes though, but they were wonderful and funny with many beauties heh). BUT we did catch the movie anyway because of some wonderful reviews at GV.com, saying that there wasnt a boring moment. And yes, I can kind of conclude there werent much of a moment where you'll fall asleep. That's because there were too many incredulous moments which knitted my eyebrows as the whole story was in complete opposite as what was being passed down in well...historical myths.

And when a movie is titled, "The Legend of Hercules", naturally, you'll expect they make it right! Firstly, I was stunned by a pitiful and benevolent-looking Hera.............Can you even imagine Hera being given an image like a Chinese Guan Yin kind of god? Hell no, Hera was rumoured to be a green-eyed monster who constantly got jealous over his husband, Zeus's affairs. And it's almost her wish to kill all his flings, including his off-springs, ESPECIALLY Hercules because he was being born so strong and smart as well; He wasnt as giddily love-sick as being portrayed in the movie and he showed his wit when he cleaned the Augean stables in just 1 day(by breaking the dam of a river or something, dont quite remember), which was a task he was set to do among the 12 he was ordered. That's why I almost fell off my chair when Hera said she will benevolently grant Alcmene a privilege to sire a son of Zeus, the King of gods, to change the fate of kingdom.

WAHAHAHAHAHA!! That's like the joke of the year!! Hera allowing her hubby to bed another woman??? It doesnt even sound logical. But the funny thing is, I seems to be the only one feeling incredulous in my seat. Apparently not many people read Greek mythology. Zzzzzzz. And there comes the amusing part where the invisible Zeus somehow consummated with Alcmene (Mo ming qi miao) and dah-danggggg, Hercules was born. And it was all very.......ridiculous and amusing. The part where Hera spoke gently and softly to Hercules warning him of the dangers.... Lol .....it's more convincing when it would be like...ahh...while she was talking to Hercules, she whipped up her dagger to stab him in the heart. Yup that's right, Hera hates Hercules that much because he's the strongest man(ok, like half-man, a demi-god to be exact) to be born! He can strangle serpents to death when he was a baby and there in the show he was depicted to be a mere mortal with no amazing strength(before he called out to Zeus) And the part about the Nemean Lion was added to the script in poor taste....when we know it's the first of the 12 tasks which Hercules was being set out to accomplish....

All in all, I really never expect such a ...out turn of the plot...I guess usually people prefer plots as close as to the originals or what has been passed down. It's ok to edit here and there but it's just...ridiculous when the plot was written in a complete and absurd version.

Alright, if you're not so much into the originality of the myth...then well it's actions and digital effects werent too bad.

Why? It would be 10 times more interesting to produce a movie on how Hercules cleared his 12 labours!

His Personality Type: The Dynamic Thinker - So accurate

My Personality Type: The Dynamic Thinker

(A total of 16 different types)

Dynamic Thinkers are confident and independent persons. They radiate enthusiasm and energy. Dynamic Thinkers pursue their objectives actively and energetically. They love nothing better than new challenges. This type is the born leader, competent, energetic and responsible.
They have a sharp eye for errors and can criticise without mercy if they see the success of a project endangered. They are completely unconcerned as to whether they alienate anyone in the process. But they are always open to objective arguments; they love discussions, they are very gifted rhetorically and they are good at convincing and enthusing others.

As they are very sociable, Dynamic Thinkers like to have a lot of friends around them, preferably those with whom they can share their interests and discuss all sorts of subjects. They are very direct but never in an underhand or scheming manner. If you can bear being spoken to frankly, you have in them a loyal and unwavering advisor as friend. Everything new and unknown stimulates Dynamic Thinkers and awakens their curiosity. However, rules, routine and traditional things arouse their resistance. If something does not go the way they want it to, they can react rather pigheadedly and obstinately.

» Get career advice for your type

Dynamic Thinkers expect a great deal of themselves and of others. Whoever does not fit in with their scheme of things does not have it easy. They sometimes appear to be rather severe due to their frankness. Partners and family also find it difficult to satisfy Dynamic Thinkers. They know exactly what they want and compromising is inconceivable to them. Whoever has an Dynamic Thinker as partner should have a strong personality and have a great deal of independence and sufficient self-confidence in order to give this dominating type some opposition. Normally, for Dynamic Thinkers, a partnership only takes second place after their profession. But they like to have someone at their side who is a match for them intellectually, with whom they can pursue mutual objectives and have interesting discussions all night long; preferably factual discussions - sentimentalism and romance are not their thing.

Adjectives that describe your type
extroverted, theoretical, logical, planning, rational, self-confident, ambitious, direct, open, severe, organised, determined, witty, independent, purposeful, dynamic, energetic, optimistic, competent, responsible, clever, intellectual, enthusiastic, demanding, structured, controlled, aggressive

Some of history’s most famous military leaders were not just coincidentally Dynamic Thinkers. Leadership runs in your blood. You are self confident, energetic and determined to reach your goals and if it is up to you, there won’t be any shilly-shallying. You are equally important in your work efficiency and effectiveness.
Strategic planning, long term considerations, creative problem solving, and absolutely exact case analyses are some of your strongest points. The quotation “I came, I saw and was victorious” (Caesar) could also be written on your flag. You comprehend even very complex situations quickly and completely, and immediately issue comprehensive instructions on how they must be dealt with.

The extroverted part of your personality provides you with excellent communication capabilities plus a certain charisma, making it easy for you to engage other people in your objectives. With all that, your visions are not limited to the existing and the contemporary, but frequently extend far into the future. For your professional satisfaction you need these objectives like you need air for breathing. You especially enjoy intellectual challenges and don’t care for victories too easily achieved.

Since you belong to the extroverted Thinker types, working in a solitary environment is not for you. In order to be happy, you need to be in the company of people, with new excitement and tasks plus a little action. Although this frequently provides for a great output the human (all too human) needs of your colleagues could easily end up being ignored. As an intuitive Thinker type, you are always focused on the objective of your task and the welfare of the company, respectively. You quickly have the number of those who are not disciplined and performance- oriented and prepared to work equally hard on the task.

Flying Bangkok.

Flying bangkok tonight. F.E.A.R.L.E.S.S! #ActuallyIgotNoChoice. Tell me you love me before it's too late.

Lol Kidding of course.

JUST FOR LAUGHS! HAHAHA!!

So many people are like that hor. They like people who like them, and they dislike people who dislike them, without considering whether that person is likeable or not.

I'm just not like that. I may like someone who dislike me(hardly happen though, because nowadays people seldom explicitly express their dislikes. Though usually people who dislikes me(even if I know it) have nothing whatsoever for me to admire......). Similarly, I can still dislike someone even if they like me. Because dont like means dont like. The reason I dont like them has nothing to do with whether they like me or not, it's just solely because of how they're like. For example, they might be selfish or lack in integrity or a frequent liar etc.

That's how true I am.

No wonder my friend said I'm so "true to self".

Very very true. Lol.

=)

Lovely Eggs Benedict at Robert Timms & Movie Reviews: The Four 2

Had a wonderful meal at Robert Timms some time back.

The Eggs Benedict which I had was simply so memorable that I have to blog about it.

Basically I swept everything off my plate of Eggs Benedict except the toasted tomatoe; nothing wrong with it I supposed, but I'm not one who takes raw tomatoe unless they're in my sandwich. The eggs were perfect with their runny yolks, the hollandaise sauce was just nice without being bland or overly thick or diluted, the shaved ham spells oh-so-good without being overly salty like some, and what I really really love was that the toast was hot! It was crisp on the outside and soft within and when the runny yolk runs over it, together with the fragrant ham, I was in total sublimity. Service was pretty good too. Oh and I think the menu is really extensive with the range of desserts too. Too bad the huge portions of the mains made us too full to be able to try(the desserts). Forget about Antoinette or Wild Honey already. Antoinette served me a huge garbage fly before with horrible service then and after, and Wild Honey is simply too busy and lofty to care much about you when you're waving your hand. Not to mention their food doesnt taste half as good, more of being over-hyped and over-priced too.

On the other hand, dearie said his sea bass was kinda bland. Mummy said her fish and chips is good with too big a portion that she cant finish.

Sometimes, I really wonder people care more about the quality of the food or care more about the prestige which is tagged to the restaurant. Maybe different people have different palettes, yeap, but people like these do exists(I'm not saying you are, I'm saying there are people like that). Like they feel it's extremely ATAS to go Antoinette or Wild Honey to have brunch. You know~ Or Les Amis or Brasserie Les Saveurs at St Regis for dinner. And then they raved about the restaurants like it was really out of the world and then finished with "Oh you really need to try!!" Like...........really? Are they simply making the point to illustrate the fact that they patronized before OR do they really like the food? Like so what? ....I've tried all of them before and they are really not impressive in terms of the execution of the food. The only impressive thing is the price~ Other than the posh environment...*shrugged*....there is nothing much memorable. I did remember the service at Brasserie Les Saveurs for our Vday dinner in 2012 was okay lah(slightly better than normal restaurants loh). But Les Amis was downright rude when we had our 3rd wedding anniversary dinner there.

Hmm.....I think service at Itacho Sushi is simply the best(of late)....they can be so busy and a little slow in their service yes....but for the past 2 visits, me and my friends stayed till really late after our meals to bitch. It was already near 10+pm and we had also footed our bills, and the kind waitresses still continue to replenish our green tea like there is no tomorrow. I've lost count of the times because we really talked ALOT and drank ALOT(thirsty mah...hee)....though of course I thanked the servers prettily each and every time. I wished to let them know I really appreciate their initiative. We didnt even need to prompt them to refill. *Thumbs up*

Movie title: The Four II
Ratings: 4/5
Comments: I think the digital effects were all pretty nice and pleasing to the eyes. The story was okie too. But of course expect another part 3. I thought part 2 was not bad as compared to part 1 but dearie felt part 1 was better. But seriously the female lead Liu Yi Fei cant act at all. OMG, when she was acting the part where she recalled how her whole family was massacred and both feet broken by her enemies, there's simply no tears in her eyes. *Faint* Thank god for her sweet face and demeanor else I really...zzzz.....

Supreme Tastes Jiang Nan Cuisine 小江南

My pictures have been siting in my lappy(automatically transferred via dropbox from my Note 2) for the longest time. Time to blog about them and then delete.

Mediocre food are everywhere and pretty common, even in restaurants. I seldom blog about food nowadays unless it's a special 6 courses or more meal and above for a special event. But I felt I have to dedicate an entry to this one. Because good chinese food in Singapore is pretty rare.

Supreme Tastes Jiang Nan Cuisine 小江南 at Marina Square

It's not as well-known and common like Ding Tai Feng and Crystal Jade, however my friends and I were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. It made me even happier when the prices were very friendly because it was a set meal for 2 pax.

It consists of a soup and ramen each for 2 pax, plus 2 sides dishes, where 1 of them is their Xiao Long Bao. Generally it's 2 choose 1 for most of them, while the ramen has more choices. We chose 西洋菜汤, 酸辣面, 杂酱面 , sweet pork ribs and their original Xiao Long Bao. The most bottom right pic is our additional order....I think it's some spicy dumplings(forgotten, as I didnt try this because I was avoiding spicy food at that time).

What surprised me was that EVERY single dish of the set meal were delicious. Which usually is not the case. Especially love the 杂酱面 and the fantastic pork ribs which were oh-so-tender. I dont feel their dishes are inferior to the other chinese restaurants. Dont quite remember how much was the set for 2 but it was pretty affordable as compared to the other well-known chinese restaurants. And when the standard did not compromise, we're definitely encouraged for repeated visits.

MAPS android app

I love this MAPS android app to bits. Got to know about this after Lin highly recommended it on her blog(efatrie under Links).

This is extremely useful when you need directions. We usually use it for driving though there are also options for buses and/or walking.

What is amazing is that the navigations are directed by voice! A very professional voice which doesnt comes with weird slangs. You dont need your eyes or attention on the phone or map at all. So it's safe. Well, you can of course glance once in a while to see how far are you away from your destination. And the timing and accuracy of the voice directions is very precise. You'll know what I mean after you try it out. Always on your GPS for accurate location. So far it never fails us. It directs you until you reach your destination.

New blog skin and OOTD

How are you loving my new blogskin? I love it myself, sorry if you dont. =P
Actually I didnt change much. Merely the background and some font styles. LOL.

So previously I shared a picture of my DIY dye here.

It's really a random picture taken in Dec, taken so randomly. But few of my friends were raving it because the colour really showed up, quite nicely in their opinions. For a DIY job, without bleaching, it does surprise some people. If you're curious, I used this, La Riché, in colour Rose Red, and I bought from Qoo10. It's around S$15 and I only used a little to dye that partial amount. Note# My hair is light so the colour showed up. You may need to bleach if your hair is dark in order for the colour to show.

It was a messy affair. It stains everythingggg, from the table to the basin to the floor of the toilet. Basically I turned my toilet pink...and had to scrub the toilet after the DIY. Horrible. So please prepare newspaper/plastics coverlets/golves etc. Best to use aluminium foil for highlighting hair(wrap it up). Dont say I didnt warn you! The dye is semi-permanent and will fade off after sometime, depending on what kind of shampoo you use.

My colours are gone now, thanks to the idiots at Jean Yip who didnt use a colour-protecting shampoo for me during a wash and blow. I was so mad, it stripped off my colour in just 1 wash when previously it was all good for few weeks or so.

The funny thing is, Von did the same thing(dying only the lower bottom of the hair), almost the same colour(hers is more red, mine is nearer to purple) but at a salon for S$175. And she was like jokingly being "unhappy" about it. I know she's kidding of course and she doesnt really mind that I did the same thing. I'm super super terrified of friends who outrightly say they wont mind you have the same hair colour or makeup or a clothing as them, but was secretly fuming about it. *shivers* I'm just glad she's not like that.

The thing is, I wasnt really copying Von although it does looks like I did it AFTER she did hers. Because I bought the DIY Dye way back in Oct when I bought my pink extensions from Qoo10 for Halloween. I intended to DIY dye in Dec during the holiday season after I unofficially "stop work". I didnt announce it to the world, but somehow great minds think alike and Von did hers too in Dec, slightly earlier before I DIY myself.

I think...usually I do know my friends well. Naturally if I know she mind then I wont do it even though I've bought the dye. Because other than shades of red, I also bought some other colours. :P

And Von asked me for a full pic of my hair in our group chat because the random pic only covered partially. And so I just quickly snapped a pic before I went out that day.

And my gf said, "Why you showing your breasts??"

I was like, "WHAT?? I'm just showing my hair. Zzzz"  It's not as if there are guys in the group chat anyway. Zzzz.....nahZ. If I was younger, I will probably just post the original pic here without words dotted across my chest. But somehow, I have to admit, dont know why...but I care about what people say about me nowadays. Even a colleague commented to me I've changed....

Anyway, if you've followed my blog enough...you'll know I seldom take pictures unless I'm with my friends for a special occasion, like a birthday or anniversary etc. I'm hardly one who always take pictures of myself unless I feel like sharing my OOTD of the day...or some interesting stuff. Seriously, I really dont think SO much. I'm really afraid of girls who think too much. Seriously, if I'm flat chested, then probably nobody will say anything. But just because I'm not, then people thinks I'm trying to show. Like....seriously, I dont see the big deal about those 2 piece of meat which defies gravity all the time.

I do admit I love to doll up myself and try to hide my flaws by shifting attention to my good points instead. If you think this is vain, then well I am vain, I have no shame. I wear bikinis on the beach, I wont step out of the house until I'm satisfied with how I look. But I'm in NO WAY trying to SHOW anything. It's funny how people assume you're trying to show or boast anything by the way you dress.

There's a difference in trying to SHOW anything VS loving to play dress up and feel good about myself.

What's wrong with making the best of what you have AND what you DONT have?

I'm just a very normal plain jane who make the best of who I am. I'm not proud(have nothing whatsoever to be proud of) nor am I humble of myself because I'm just born this way. And it's not as if I steal my hubby's mum's savings to doll up myself, so seriously, I have nothing to be ashamed of, no matter how displeasing I may look to anyone~ Sharing OOTD also doesnt mean I think I look good; I merely meant I LOVE the things I bought and wore, and just sharing them as I feel people may like them too.

I compliment other girls all the time so long so their makeup, hairdo, attire was great and appropriate to the occasion. Sometimes I really wonder why some girls, can be pretty, yet be so narrow-minded and small-hearted(I assume the opposite for big-hearted. Haha). You'll hear them criticizing about other females ALL THE TIME, even strangers. I mean it's human nature for one to pass some negative comments now and then, but seriously, not ALL THE TIME.

Try to speak good instead of bad. If you have nothing positive to say, well, then just hold your tongue. If you realized you always find negative things to say about people and only speak positive of yourself, the point is, you may not have many friends.

Here's an OOTD taken some time back. I love all the items.

This mini beret hair band is from Tailsman and I LOVE it so much. Firstly, it's like a little accessory but not too exaggerating in Singapore. Singaporeans are too dressed down so I'm woefully terrified of the stares which berets/beanies bring. Anyway, they're also too warm for me in Singapore.

I thought the red is perfect for Xmas(but end up I didnt really celebrate Xmas). What is SO GREAT about this is that it hides ugly un-touchedup hair roots, and also my sparse hair-parting; I'm being losing so much hair due to stress. =( And it's very cooling and comfortable to wear because it's just a mini cap on the head; real berets and caps might be stuffy and hot for me in Singapore. They comes in different materials and colours and I actually bought 3. It's around S$13 for 1. They're super great for bad hair days when your hair is flat or oily. Just plop 1 on top of your head and you'll look decent.

The blue and white checkerz top is from Fareast Plaza at S$15 and I love it because it's very flatting. Although it seems that it's so stingy on the amount of material, tt slims down the arms and waist, and accentuates your chest. I dont really like the last part, but oh well, I think it simply looks adorable without being "over".

The cream white crochet shorts is my absolute favorite and I wish I have more of it because not only are they flattering, they pair with so many different tops, and can also be under long tunics. They're airy and not warm too. Bought from Bugis Village at only S$10. I also bought a salmon pink one sometime back too. Love itttttt.

Okie lastly, pictures were being edited at BeautyPlus, a web-based editing site. Simply great. I love the effects. =)

Sharing this song which I'm loving currently. PLEASE listen till the END! It's so amazing......
