Sorry for the lack of updates! I know I'm so lagging on my entries and updates. Like Oct monthly favorites, my virgin Halloween, our 5th Anniversary dinner etc. It's all because I'm busy with work as well as so helplessly hooked with this drama 兰陵王 right now!! 





















Will vastly preferred Chen Yi Rong or Ady An Yi Xuan for the female lead, simply because I think they suit the role more and can act SO MUCH better. I have nothing against Lin Yi Chen....but I just dont know how to appreciate her acting style. Very unnatural. On the other hand, Feng Shao Feng and Chen Xiao Dong both have outstanding performances, especially Feng. I think one can simply drown in his depths of eyes exuding much tender love. So handsome and charming. Ahhh.......currently so obsessed with him now. :P Hahaha. Let's see how long it can last. My obsession always come fast and end fast. :P This drama is 46 episodes and I'm at 20th. It gets better and better. I say the pace is moderately fast, suits my appetite as I dont have much patience you see. 



 Was enjoying 兰陵王 on my Lenovo YOGA at BakerzIn. 冯绍锋 is sooooo handsomeeee~ ♥♥♥ 

 I'm very intrigued by the historical figure 兰陵王(He really do exists) and googled about him. It was said he was an invincible warrior from the state of Qi(齊). In fact he was titled the god of war(戰神) because of his tremendous success in all his pursuits. His most outstanding achievement was his war with the State of Zhou(周), where he used 500 soldiers to win 10,000 of Zhou soldiers with his wit and strategy(you have to read more or watch the show to know the full details, I'm too lazy to sum it here). A hero who saved his kingdom, 高長恭 rose to popularity in the State of Qi, which attracted the emperor to kill him out of worry that he's a threat. But the most intriguing thing is that it was said that he was so handsome(and "pretty" maybe, historians described him as 柔美) that he has to wear a hideous and fierce-looking mask in order to intimidate his enemies on the war ground. 

 兰陵王 - 美男子 《北齐书》、《北史》中说他“貌柔心壮，音容兼美”；《兰陵忠武王碑》中说他“风调开爽，器彩韶澈”；《旧唐书·音乐志》中说他“才武而面美”；《隋唐嘉话》中说他是“白类美妇人”。可见，兰陵王的美确是不容置疑、超凡脱俗的。

 And I realized the show pretty much followed what was being passed down in history. But Lin Yi Chen's role, Yang Xue Wu is fictional. Therefore, pretty engaging as the story progresses. =D Oh of course it's not totally about monarchy, there is love rivalry too. Heehee! Super engaging!

Or simply 《甄嬛传》for short.  What can I say? It has been a long time since I got so obsessed and entranced with a drama serial, one that is so damn long somemore; 76 episodes. But TRUST ME, it really doesnt feel that long! The first few episodes might have started off at normal speed but it gets more and more intense and thrilling as it progressed. There are days which I simply spend the whole day at home and watched it non-stop until 7am in the morning. I really dont remember when's the last time I got so intensely excited watching a movie(one that is not horror/action), much less a drama! It's totally addictive!! Thus be warned that your connection works alright once you started watching. Why, I almost smashed my laptop when I reached episode 40+ just because the video wont load. Lol.

Android theme apps for Samsung Note 2 - GO launcher

Hey guys! Just a quick entry for you. =)

Forgive me if I cant stop raving about Note 2, because I'm really loving it. =D

Oh and I just realized if I blog from my android app, the resolutions of the pictures are small, thus blur. But thank god I dont need to transfer/sync or email them to my laptop for the full size pictures like how I used to with my iPhone. They're simply auto transferred(vice versa 2-way) to my computer's DROPBOX whenever my phone is near my laptop. I can then transfer bigger and clearer pictures to blog. However, the bad point means I'm unable to blog with big and clear pictures if I'm outside with only my Note 2.

I might be slow, but I finally got around to customizing it. And I'm really happy with the results because not only are they pleasing to my eyes, they proved to be extremely useful as well when they came with the added  flexible options and functions.

Firstly, I downloaded GO Launcher at Play Store, which is basically what you download if you wanna change the theme of your phone, including the wallpapers and icons. After you have downloaded GO Launcher, then you can start to browse GO Launcher themes. And here I got mine, Flower Love GO Launcher theme. 

For the panel at the top, you need to download the app, GO weather. Hmm....I am concerned with weather lately as downpours can come so suddenly. But main thing is because I like that the time is magnified in a larger font. Easier to see. Date is there too. 

The 5 icons on the most bottom panel are the HOME buttons but you can actually add more by customizing it. Simply swipe left/right to view more HOME buttons. Like how I added GO SMS PRO, default call, What'sapp and CHROME in the picture below.

GO SMS PRO is what you download when you wanna change a different look/theme on your SMS screen. You can browse different themes and download them. For mine(below), I'm using GO SMS Spring Theme.

To customize my LOCK screen too, I downloaded GO Locker. 

The theme is also Flower Love. 

Fine, I admit I love pink okayyyyy. So long so I dont wear them. Haha!

Once you swiped the flower kettle(haha), the pattern security will come out(if you choose to lock your phone like mine).

There are other stuff which you can download to further customize your phone, like GO Contacts etc. But it's kinda weird, sometimes there will be error and you have to keep trying to download it successfully. So far, I'm unable to download my theme.  =(

There are many flexible options which you can choose when these apps are downloaded. Sometimes they save you the trouble to download additional apps. For example, they also got a function which is something like task killer. They have the option of pop-up SMS which you can reply there and then. You can schedule SMS as well. It's also much easier to shift your icons from page to page or edit the order of your pages. You need to explore them yourselves. I do know they will use more ram thus shortening my battery life but so far, I feel it's okay leh. Indeed it shortens battery life, but still sufficient for me.

And my favorite android app so far will be, like I mentioned before, GTunes Music Downloader. It's just super awesome to download unlimited mp3 into your playlist. And what's more, some concert versions can be found too. Only bad point is there's bound to be some broken links which causes failed downloads. Although, out of the many which I've downloaded successfully, only 1 song is of a less than great quality. So overall, I'm still super pleased with this app. While I was searching for my fave Coco Lee's tracks, I found 1 song which I've never hear before. I love love love it so much. Especially the chorus!

Actually I dont really care if the news is real or merely a publicity stunt. What I appreciate is their beautiful vocals. Other than Miki's bobbing up and down. Lol. They complemented each other serenely, charmingly in this puppy-love song. It brought back so much warm, fuzzy feelings. =D Although Miki's voice still have a slight child-like quality to it, but it's like as if "Pretty Boy" has been specially tailored for her to sing. The song suits her to a T. I've been looping this song non-stop for days in Mt Alvernia and now that I've discharged and home, I'm still looping. Lol. What a sweet and compatible pair. =) Althoughhh, I dont feel there's any love connection in the making of this mtv.

I cant believe 99% of the comments at yahoo were so negative. Mostly saying about how the guy, Muyi wanna "eat" a "little lamb" and stuff like he'll most probably grab the "sacred fruit" and be jailed behind bars for life sooner or later. Bla bla bla. Seriously, cant this people use a bit of brain before commenting. If he seriously wanna do that, he most assuredly wouldnt draw so much attention to them and made them the public eye; as so many people will be waiting to catch his tail. Moreover, Miki seems to be more famous than him, definitely more people will be siding in her favor, since she's such a cute little teen. Everyone sees Muyi as a wolf. She reminds me of the mini Cecilia Cheung. Thick brows, round eyes, pert nose, small mouth. Bound to be a striking beauty when she grows up. =)

I did check out their weibo out of kpo-ness. Woah, it's really my first time; I see Miki with 500K+ of followers and Muyi with around 300K, but both of them only follow ONE person, they only follow each other! Spooky! No need friends liao meh? Lol.

All in all, the only thing Muyi can get to gain is publicity to his name, his songs. Even so, it's a huge price to pay and it wouldnt actually be all good and worthy. His female fans might get jealous and stop supporting him. It means he must try to be "guai" and faithful for at least the next 4 years doing nothing, no kiss, no touch, no hanky-panky until Miki turns 16..or 18, wherever their country's jurisdiction may be. 4 years. If he can hold on, then good for him. If he cant, at any point, he will be labelled a jerk if he sees someone new, or most probably, a sex-craved loser if he broke off during this 4 years as tons will be more than happy to say, "There, I knew it! He couldnt take it anymore with no s*x and that's why he broke off." And the worse scenario will be, he really cant control himself, break the law and spend 20years behind bars. In no way is this a fair deal to me, as a artiste's reputation is of utmost importance. In fact...his reputation is already kinda soiled, in some people's eyes.

Has Singapore really degenerate to this stage......the(those) guys I mean.......who bitterly believe that all Singapore girls are materialistic and didnt choose them because they dont earn enough? Who thinks that the only reason that a 24year old guy will profess his love for a 12year old is because of underage-teen-s*x? It's really sad. It's like there's not an ounce of...romance....fantasy...innocence left in these people. I dont mean that the pair CONFIRM must be so in love.....and isnt it a little too fast to jump into conclusion and pour cold water? Of course....most of them probably has nothing better to do with their lives and seek satisfaction and fulfillment in passing crude and negative remarks.

To ask me whether I think they can make it, seriously, I'm at a neutral stand. It's not about the age gap of 12 years. I genuinely thinks love has no boundary, age has no limits. Why, I also have a colleague couple who are 11 years apart. But you see, a 24 year old with a 36 year old, it's not so bad. A 36 year old with a 48 year old sounds okie too. But a 24 year old with a 12 year old does sound kinky. A 24 year old might know what is love. But Miki at 12......will Miki have a change of her heart and realized her love for Muyi is merely a brotherly love? Her mindset on lots of things will change when she reaches 16 or 18 or 21. She's simply too young, I will feel Miki will have a higher tendency to let Muyi down, when she grows older. Of course, nothing can be sure.

I wish them all the best and hope people can just be more lenient and encouraging towards them. Ultimately, if a relationship can start and maintain with 4-6 years of no s*x, I feel the love is so pure and so precious. I've lost count of the number of times that I worry about whether guys have ulterior motives. =P OooOok la....I'm not very wat-wat-wat, but at least, still a female mah... Wahahaha.

Their unique, spiritually-based relationship is something which should be honored and looked upon, not to be jeered at. =D

Canadian singer-model Akama Miki may be only 12 years old, but Chinese pop star Zhang Muyi, who is twice her age at 24, claims they are in love and that it is not a publicity stunt.

According to MSN, the duo has recently been exchanging love letters and posting photos of themselves together (see Miki pinch Muyi's cheek! See them touch fingers!). Miki is a rising star with reportedly 500,000 Weibo followers, but she follows only one person -- and guess who that is?

"Wait until I'm old enough to marry you, and then I'm going to say 'I do,'" Miki recently wrote to Muyi on Weibo.

Muyi responded with the message, "I simply can't wait for these next four birthdays of yours to pass, I'm counting down each one." If that weren't creepy enough, Muyi admitted he will be watching the prepubescent Canuck mature     with bated breath.

"I said to Miki, 'I'm going to be with you as you grow, I'll always wait for you,'" Muyi wrote.

While he waits, Muyi is spending his time collaborating with the younger musician on various songs. Comments: I've always love 程小东's productions. Most of Jet Li's films were filmed by him. True enough, he did not disappoint. There's a minimum standard of quality for his movies. However...hmm...maybe the white snake story has been reproduced many times so there wasnt really any surprise elements in it, cant really blame him actually. Oh the "鲜草" was something new. Haha. One thing to note is Jet Li is the milder version of the numerous replications of Fa Hai. Fa Hai is usually portrayed as one who kills any 妖 who crosses his path. On the contrary, Jet Li's version merely demanded that White Snake stayed within her realm and not bother Xu Xian. When she didnt, then he wanted to eliminate her.

程小东 did the typical white snake story scenes with flair, like, the fighting scenes between White Snake and Fa Hai, 水淹金山寺 or how White Snake is being trapped under the pagoda. Wonderful animation, although the snake can actually look more real instead. Fair presentation by the stars though I suddenly had a thought Cecilia would be more suitable for the role of White Snake. Because of her 敢爱敢恨 personality, I believe she can execute the role with more passion and fervor. Her role in 河东狮吼 really left me a very deep impression, spectacular. Eva is...kind of too mild for the role? She cant convince that she's willing to 水淹金山寺 for Xu Xian. More funny exchanges could be added. 程小东's movies were a alot funnier in the past. =( Still a nice show. =)
