【你感性吗?】

Hee hee hee!!!!!

*Updated* Review of Clarisonic Mia

Updated Review after 6months: on 2nd April 2013  (Initial Review below)

Somehow, friends around me have been raving about Mia's awesomeness and I tried to use it more frequently despite feeling lazy about it; I have to spend few minutes running it about my whole face.

And I just realized; perhaps I might have used it the wrong way previously. I've been pressing it into my skin, thinking that's how it should be. That's wrong. Actually you just need to gently lay it against your skin, and rotate it slowly around your face. Apply a little pressure is enough. The bristles itself will do the cleansing. Oh dear....I might be using MIA too harshly on my skin so much so my pores enlarged the last time as I gorged the bristles into it my poor pores....=(

After I used it the right way, I suppose it's less harsh on my sensitive skin, I actually feel it's rather soothing and comfortable to use; it's like a massage. I use it with Organia - White Milk Facial Brightening Cream Cleanser, which is a very rich foamy cleanser. They worked very well together. And just few weeks after all these routine...I use like once every alternate day instead of the previous once per week, my skin really got so much clearer. It's like even I looked closely at my pores, they're so clean. Pores didnt get larger, instead, they got smaller. Obviously, when you cleaned up the gunk in your pores, they will shrink as these dirt will expand your pores. Of course, I dont mean...wah...the pores suddenly shrink ALOT....I mean I did see an improvement la. Also, I realized my pigmentation marks also got significantly lighter despite not using any other scar fading products. Even friends said my complexion improved, but actually I'm just using Mia more frequently than before, and of course, in the right way.

I might buy a new brush head for sensitive skin. I kinda heard you need to change the brush head every 3months. Hmm....wonder is that true...or is that necessary?

Blogged on 12th Aug 2012:
Actually I bought this quite sometime back. Just that I havent had the chance to try it because my face was sensitive with all the outbreak. Heard that it was very popular with all the beauty junkies. Jen uses it, Angi and Von both bought it from U.S where they are cheaper. Initially I wasnt keen to get it because I feel it might be harsh on the skin and enlarge my already-super-big pores. Until I saw Suzi's review on it and she said "Clarisonic totally changes my life." Wow! That's quite a statement. So I googled about it and managed to get Clarisonic Mia at S$100 including courier delivery here.(Disclaimer: I hold no responsibility whatsoever on their credibility) I got mine in lovely tangerine. =D The deal came with 1 year warranty and a sample size of their hydro cleanser.

Clarisonic's retail price is S$249 in Sephora(exclusive in Singapore), US$119 excluding shipping at their offical website, so this is quite a good deal. Von bought her Clarisonic Mia 2 in U.S for US$139. Clarisonic Mia 2 is quite the same as Mia, just that it has 2 speeds. Mia only has 1 speed and stops every minute. Simply press the button again to start/stop. Basically, it claims to clean the skin 6times better than simply using hands alone. Especially when you're doing double-cleansing after removing makeup. What's special about it as compared to cleaning your face with a sponge or brush is that it has a rotating brush head which do it's job on it's own, totally wireless and most importantly waterproof. First charge it for 24hours before using, wash your face with your cleanser and with the foam still on your face, gently run MIA over your face for few minutes before washing off. Note: you need a universal charger.

Initial Review: on 12th Aug 2012
On first use, my skin immediately looks clearer, brighter and I caught a slight sheen on my nose which denotes radiance. Which isnt super surprising for me because using a good purifying mask also gives that kinda effect. But when I looked closer into the mirror, what truly amazes me was that my blackheads were 90% gone. Still left some tiny ones at the corners of the nose though. My nose has never look so clear before and I'm overjoyed! I began to use MIA everyday once, during double cleansing after removing my makeup as I dont wish any makeup residue to possibly remain on my skin. However, after using just 2-3days, I realized my pores got larger, despite applying toner after every cleansing. Having combination skin, especially with an oily T-zone, naturally I already have bigger pores and when I said they became larger, it was truly upsetting!

I then decide MIA is an excellent tool to clean up your pores and blackheads especially for people like me who dont do facials. A worthy investment, it acts like a spring-cleaning device which you can use once a week or every fortnightly(like how you use Biore Pore Pack) but certainly not everyday if you have big pores like me. Also, people with very thin and sensitive skin are not advised to use it too frequently too as it's still considered abrasion on the skin, no matter how gentle it claims. Instead, saturate cotton wool with toner and wiped it gently across the face as a very mild exfoliation and cleansing after makeup-removing.

While I'm here, I recommend this purifying mud mask, Poretol Cleanser Pack, which I've been loving.

Dont quite remember the price but it should be below S$25. It clears up the skin pretty well of the impurities and didnt not break me out. Has a refreshing, minty smell/feel. It doesnt leave my skin overly dry and tight after 10mins nor after I washed it off. And it's very easy to wash off. Still, I usually use a Konjac sponge to wash away facial masks. Mine is a black, water-drop shaped, bamboo charcoal facial sponge, bought at around S$7+ at TheFaceShop. It's especially useful to wash off some stubborn facial mask without being too harsh on your face.

Biore pore pack is very very effective. If you don't feel so, either you don't have many black/white heads, or you're using it the wrong way.

Some tips on blackheads removing using B'iore pore pack
1) Use a facial scrub prior to pore pack to bring those blackheads to the surface. Don't use over gentle scrubs or those with too fine beads. Wash off with warm water

2) Rinse nose with warm water for few minutes to open up the pores. Then immediately apply pore pack. Make sure it adheres nicely with no air bubbles. Use dry towel to further press down the whole mask(can pinch your nose lightly) and to wipe off excess water on face

3) Wait till it's completely dry, very very dry before you peel it off from the top, tearing it down s-l-o-w-l-y. Don't simply peel it off shabbily.

4) Wash off residue with cold water and apply toner to close up pores. Apply pore minimizing essence.

March 2013 Favorites

Neutrogena - Triple Moisture - Deep Recovery Hair Mask

Superb product. Best hair mask I've ever used. Makes hair super soft and smooth. Not oily.
Smells great. However not available in Singapore, have to purchase from drugstore.com.
Much better than renowned brands like L'oreal, Keratase and it's only around S$15 I think, including shipping. Better to massage into hair rather than only applying on it. Leave on for few minutes before rinsing off.

No. 7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream

I love anything Hypo-allergenic because so far, I've not experienced any breakouts/allergy with them. I dont have much of dark eye circles nor wrinkles but I do get faint shadows under my eyes when I dont have enough sleep. But usually they'll go away after a good night's sleep. Rather, I have 1 particular irritating line/wrinkle under my right eye which only appears sometimes in photos when I smile. Somehow, I realize it was gone now. This eye cream is light, hydrating and not too rich for me like the others which give me milia seeds. So I've been liking it so far although I didnt use it religiously.

Hmm....I got this at Bangkok Boots at Central Mall. I suppose you can ask people to buy for you. =P

Eyelash comb

I'm afraid I've thrown away the packaging....but I bought this in SASA for like around S$8?
It's very useful in separating top/bottom eye-lashes which clumped together with mascara because the comb teeth are made in metal. Plastic eyelash combs are totally inefficient.

KilaDoll - Placenta Mask

To be frank, last time I used to keep supplies of mask and mask everyday. Hardworking right? But now dont know why, I'm simply very lazy. Now I mask like once or twice a week. And I like masks from KilaDoll which has a very thin and comfy texture which is OMG-soothing to the face. Really feel like sleeping whenever I had this on. Leaves skin hydrated and supple.

Watson or Sasa has it.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Fond de teint gel foundation

I have it in 51 light vanilla, which is what I wore in the previous entry during clubbing at Aquanova. I wore it with Etude House - Precious Mineral Sun (loose) Powder, which was mentioned in my Feb monthly favorites as my to-date favorite loose powder. I love it's texture, neither too light nor too thick; it's in between liquid and gel, blends like a dream and feels lightweight on the face. That being said, it's coverage is low to medium at best, not really buildable so you cant use it to layer to cover flaws well especially if you have pigmentation marks/scars. You'll need a separate concealer. Which is quite..troublesome...because I dont own any concealer. Usually I'll just pile on some extra on any imperfections, but for this one....I still can layer on for more coverage but at very near distance, some of my marks can still be seen.

Heck la.........I just dont like to put concealer. Maybe I just haven meet the right one which blends seamlessly with the foundation/bb cream I had on. It's pretty lasting, as in it doesnt oxidise much though for long hours you'll need to touch up some powder.

Lactacyd - Nourish; Moisturizing; Daily Feminine Wash

Ahh....what can I say....well....you know...ah........
*Head supported sideways by palm*
Hmm.....I just feel this works great and so much better than other feminine washes which I've tried. It's gentle and moisturizing....maybe I'm just sensitive through and through and I cant take harsh chemicals anywhere on my face nor body. So I love this.

Organia - White Milk Facial Brightening Cream Cleanser

I have super duper sensitive face so it's difficult to find suitable cleansers. This, lathers extremely well and creates rich foams; which I think is very suitable to use with Clarisonic. You need lots of foams so that it's not harsh for your skin as ultimately you'll brushing your face. Despite being a cream cleanser, it's not very rich so I think it's still pretty suitable to use for all skin types. I believe using different cleansers at different times of the day because your skin cant be always dry or always oil. Oily skin have times when they are dehydrated and vice versa. Skin feels fresh, soft, smooth and not tight. Continuous use does makes my skin brighter I feel.

Available at BHG/Johnlittle

Becky Russell - Cleansing body exfoliator - Citrus Ginger

Remember I mentioned in my Me My Elos(version 1) IPL Review that I will always shower-scrub-shave before using? Sometimes when I'm in a rush, this is great because it cleanses and scrubs at the same time; doing a very good job for BOTH and saves me TIME. The Citrus ginger gives a refreshing scent and is great for use in the day.

Available at BHG, ALT beauty.

Powder Brush from Sephora
Which I use as a blusher brush. Haha! It does have some fall outs. Pretty soft, the size is just right for my cheeks and picks up the right amount of blush. I think it will do for contouring too. Just that it's abit bulky to bring out. I usually use it at home. Around S$35 from Sephora.

Bourjois Ombre a paupieres eyeshadow - 92 GRIS Pailettes
It's a baked eyeshadow - black with silver glitter
I always wonder why Bourjois baked eyeshadows are not popular. I reckon that people always try/use it by swiping it with the brush(dry). I'll tell you now Bourjois baked eye shadows MUST be used with a DAMP(not wet) brush. Just use it's attached brush, it's good enough. Once swiped with a damp brush, the colours come alive and can be 3-4 times more intense than using it with dry brush. This colour, when used with a dry brush, gives a dull black with some shimmers but when used with a damp brush, the black became very intense with depths, coupled with brilliant silver glitters. It's great for glam smoky eyes and clubbing nights out and it's super easy and effortless. Saves me so much time when people thought I spend hours on my eye makeup when actually I simply swiped them for like 2 seconds per eye. Of course, falsies is a must with this eyeshadow else you'll just look crazy. That being said, the glitters fall off pretty easily so dont sweep them unnecessarily. The colours dont stay on as long so you have to touch up. BUT, to date, I haven found an eyeshadow which is more lasting that gives the exact same intense and glam effect.

MOST HATED PRODUCT - MARCH

Shills Rose Essential Deep Clarifier - 5 in 1
Cleansing/Balancing/Hydrating/Clarifying/Brightening
Contains beneficial aromatherapy oil bla bla

LIKE BULLSHIT!!!
It made me break out BIG TIME and that's not all! It's like, I had an IMMEDIATE allergic reaction to it; my skin got all red, stingy and itchy and large angry pimples started popping out almost minutes later! It's most horrifying!! Initially I thought why it leaves a soapy residue on my fingers(I did used a cotton pad to apply on face) but really, this is simply nightmare to me.

Hope you've enjoyed my March Favorites~~~~ =D

Review of SONY DSC-HX10V camera

Good friday it was!! It had been a great and long weekend for me! Hope it was the same for you!

o_O So shag out! Dearie hadnt been feeling well for the past few days so he had been mostly resting at home other than having some meals and movies together with me. He wasnt thatttt sick but merely need to retire early and wake up late. And during his resting time, I spent my time with my friends, much to dearie's slightlyyyy grumpy displeasure. But of course he's merely sulking in a kidding(and kiddish. Haha) way. I'm very glad I didnt married a possessive, clingy and needy boyfriend. =D

To sum it up, had a few chill-outs pubbing sessions with my friends, a dimsum buffet brunch at Mouth Kitchen(PS) which was not bad but not outstanding either, billard(so happy! Haven play for ages!) as well as clubbing just on Saturday. We went Aquanova and then round 2 to Powerhouse. Reached home at 6+am. It has been ages since I clubbed(didnt even know boiler closed down. HAHA) and it has been foreverrrrrr since I'm home that late!! Or early, you can say. =P

Thankfully no hangover or headaches on Sunday, which was spent fully with my honey.

As I mentioned, I got a new camera;  SONY DSC-HX10V in white and everytime I got a new toy, I was pretty enthu to use it(for a while.....). Haha.

SONY DSC-HX10V in white

But sometimes I'm simply too lazy to bring it out or just lazy to take it out to snap. I guess I'm just not very into camwhore bah. And here's some pictures during the last clubbing session on Sat. I know I should have snapped more for the previous ktv-pub/brunch sessions but I simply forgot about it when drinking and ktv and food came in. =P

I have to say I know nuts for photography and cameras. I know it's not a fair comparison of it with my old Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5, which although is a 2-3years old model BUT of a higher end........

My old Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5

BUT.....simply...for a conclusion....I feel Lumix LX5 takes much sharper pictures most of the time in the day where there is bright light BUT for night pictures, my current SONY DSC-HX10V does a better job with or without flash; namely using it's ISO mode(under "scene") or Soft High-key mode(under "program") which means "Shoots warm fresh shots emphasizing the bright areas". Lumix's pictures are mostly blur and grainy in dim lights without flash and even picture-editing cant help. I've tried all simple modes in "scenes" or "program"(but I admit I dont know how to use Exposure/Aperture mode). On the other hand, it's pictures with flash wash out most colours; so much so I always look like a GHOST in it's flash shots.

This is one example; taken in flash with Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5

Ghost sightings spotted during lunar 7th month.....Haha
Old pic during my Aug birthday(which is really 7th lunar month. =P)

I definitely did not edit myself to look like a ghost. But because I'm such a klutz in picture editing and I'm not one with patience(sometimes anyhow edit), I ended up posting ghostly pictures of myself or rather not posting them at all.

By the way, I dont wear any lip colour for all my pictures; they're usually pinkish or slightly red on their own. But apparently, colours get washed out in Lumix's pictures but instead get more contrast in Sony's pictures.

Taken using SONY DSC-HX10V with flash. Pic is brightened minimally(low or medium) with Photoscape.
Still the same pizza face...but at least I look human.....? I dont really know alot about picture editing; usually using "brightening"(brightens whole picture in low/medium/high), "sharpening"(power 1-13) and "blooming"(low/med/high - brightens up area with light only, which is we human, with warm glow)

All pictures taken with flash.

However........with or without flash pics.....SONY DSC-HX10V's pictures needs to be sharpen considerably. They're not blur, just not super sharp. Photoscape is a amazing software for sharpening. Maybe it's raw format is acceptable to some people but I'm quite a perfectionist. I like bright and super sharp pictures and colours true to picture. If they're blur or grainy, I wont even post them. My dress is this exact moss green with chrome gold details. My lips, pinkish on it's own and my hot pink head cushion...I'll say the colours are pretty true to pic without much editing. On the other hand, pictures taken with Lumix in dim lightings/night without flash are totally not editable even with Photoscape because they're too blur/grainy.

Some pics below taken at Aquanova. The place is far too noisy to even play games, much less normal conversation. Drinks and food both too expensive. We shared a bottle of premium vodka; Belvedere, costing S$268 to waive off cover of S$25 per pax. Do bargain. Initially, the bouncer only allowed to waive off 4 pax but I cajoled persuaded him to let us waive off 7. Only free 2 mixer. We didnt have a good table too(maybe because we're late...around midnight) to watch the performance at all; we're at the back. Sigh. Probably wont go there again despite the performances are not bad.

Oh initially I wondered why is there bunny hair bands on the table.......then realized it was Easter....

With Iv............who was emo when someone didnt turn up....haha

See the tiny, skinny bottle of vodka........zzz....it was gone within hours.

Was glad Cel was out to join us...... Initially she did not want to join because we drank quite a lot just the previous night at Shido and Love Drunk. Hee! But it was also very fun!

With Ter....who insisted plunking the.....er...xin....hairband on me...........

New friend on the left, Ling. The moment she laid eyes on Ter hor, LOL, I think there's FIRE in her eyes. Muahahaha. When Cel was introducing, I was actually sitting next to Ter(in between both of them) and she totally treated me invisible siah~ Bypass me to shake his hands. Hahaha Anyway, I was far too intuitive and asked her if she knew Ter previously and true enough, she is Ter's secondary school friend or something. However, he didnt recognize her while she said he didnt change one bit.

How unfair. Guys always stay the same while we girls..............sigh.................

My hair cui already........I've stopped curling them....because the curls from the previous perm is almost gone........so now they're neither straight nor wavy.......just a mass....of........hay..... =( But I probably cant rebond them soon too..... =~(

I realized I have quite a number of gay friends........like you-know-who~
I'm kidding of course. Lol

Under 18 cannot see.

Pretty Amanda came late! But thank god she came!! =D
Jov last minute caught up with something and cant come then Amanda said she's kinda sad. I was emo that she last minute cant come too!! Haha really.......it has been a long time since we clubbed!

Smuacksssss~

Cel left shortly because she wasnt feeling well. =(
I think she just cant drink much because she still had the hangover.......
Actually it was me who pulled her along one...because I felt like clubbing. =X

OMG.....Amanda's face is so small! See my pizza face beside her. *faints*

Eventually left 4 of us who adjourned to Powerhouse. It was very very fun!!
We shared a bottle of Hennessy at S$200 and drank till drop!
Ter introduced a new game and it's was sooOoOOo funny.
Jio me drink and I'll tell you. =P
Amanda was so high that she dragged me onto the stage!! We did dance awhile before I wanted to get down.........too paiseh la.....just dont like the spot light. But more because I scared I fell down. Muahahaha!

Just discovered a filter(region-out of focus) "sepia" in Photoscape. I like the effect. Hee! Maybe I should spend some time to explore the functions.....hmmm........ Somehow.....SONY captured the sparkle in my eyes........oh well......one of my rare pics where eyes didnt shrink too much when I smiled........or worse......have big small eyes.......haiz...very cham lor me....

Anyway, I suppose there's always ways to correct the problems I faced when using Lumix other than photo editing......just that I dont know how to....... In any case, Lumix will be the spare camera if dearie and me go tour as his old Nikon camera is getting obsolete. Btw, SONY DSC-HX10V has 16x zoom while Lumix only has 3.8x zoom. I also realized SONY DSC-HX10V's 18.2MP pictures looks much sharper on it's LCD screen than on computers; a problem which I dont have with Lumix 10.1MP(except pictures taken in dim lightings/night). On the whole, I think SONY is more suitable for me because I seldom take pictures in the daytime. Most of the time at night.

Movie reviews: G.I. Joe Retaliation & The Host

Movie title: G.I. Joe Retaliation
Ratings: 4.5
Comments: Highly anticipated film. Did not disappoint. Almost never a boring moment. Very thrilling scenes. Every character has his/her own outstanding performances so it's rather balanced. Must catch this season. Oh And did I mention Byung-hun lee is soOOoO sexy and manly......*heart melts....* Kekeke.

By the way, I watched the movie AGAIN in 3D with my friends. (=.=)'''' Though actually it was still very nice and it's worth catching in 3D because all the scenes looked even more real and thus more thrilling.

Movie title: The Host
Ratings: 2.2/5
Comments: It was kindaaaaaaa boring........but pretty touching at some points... I rather feel the female lead of 18years old acted pretty well as a newbie.

Antoinette's compensation brunch - A disappointment once again. But well, at least no flies

To continue from the last update....So Rae, the marcom manager from Antoinette extended an invite for a complimentary meal to compensate for my last unpleasant experience. Let bygones be bygones. Since Antoinette, represented by Rae, has expressed his/their sincere apologies, I will not mention this incident again. This will just be a usual and as always, 100% honest review from me. Rae suggested this outlet at Palais Renaissance so we followed.

It was decorated beautifully, adorned with classy ceilings and walls, chandeliers with splendor, opulent furnitures. Indoors were perfectly quiet so it was the perfect ambiance to b*tch. It wasnt dim but was hardly bright. Therefore all pictures were dark, grainy or blur and casted with an ugly orange hue. Regretted not taking pictures with flash for I hate grainy/blur pictures. I spent quite some time editing the above pic to be true to real life, despite so, it's still grainy. Arrgggghhh! Time to ditch my 3 year old Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5.

The macro shots in fact turned out okay. Ironically, the food looked better in pictures than tasted in reality. Actually we love breakfast food like Eggs Benedicts. But my last gruesome experience really freaked all of us out so much so we shunned from ordering them.

If you know me, you know I love foie gras. The pan fried foie gras(top right), labelled as a starter shocked me with it's...look. It's the first time I see a foie gras which look so much like fried luncheon meat. HAHA. This is not a compliment. (=.=)''''' Unappetizing. It looked as though sometime used paper to blot out the oil of the foie gras. And it looks as appetizing as some bbq chicken wings with oil sucked right out with paper before serving it to you.

Healthier. But sad lor. Thanks for looking out for my cholesterol level. How did the guys at Antoinette know my cholesterol level was lingering near the limits? :P But...*shaking head*.....as a customer wise, I'm very sad when my foie gras look like that. It tasted better than fried luncheon meat though.

Crabmeat pasta. Middle pic. Again. I really wonder did the chef had a bad day? Why all the dishes were so poorly presented? Too oily. Saw the excessive amount of oil on the plate? To be frank, despite it's a complimentary meal for compensation, we girls, or rather, Lin and me were very careful in ordering. We wanted to make sure we can finish the food we order and even when the dishes werent nice, we tried to finish it because we didnt want to waste food even though we need not pay for them. We were very grateful for food or just anything on our plates. But really, the crab pasta wont do. It was so oily that both Lin and me felt kinda unwell taking it. And it's our regret we left half of it.

Ordered mushroom soup to share. It was not bad though I still prefer BakerzIn's wild mushroom soup.

The crepes. Lin's order. My nice girl tried so hard to finish it despite it's not nice. The bananas were overcooked, burnt actually and the meringue werent freshly made and tasted stale; sticked to the teeth(just like the ones Jes ordered too, top left pic). Lin, who isnt one to be picky with food like me, said this dessert was really pretty bad. Jes and me actually forbid her to finish it; because she didnt want to waste food despite it's kinda sucky.

Amongst all these cakes, only the Strawberry Shortcake and Antoinette Cake(top left) were nice. I'm actually quite astounded that they served a crazily skewed Strawberry Shortcake which was teetering on collapsing, to me. I've never seen such a poorly presented cake before in my ENTIRE LIFE; it was leaning so conspicuously that it's a rarer sight to behold than the leaning tower of Pisa. Maybe the straw berry was too heavy? HAHAHA. It's a joke. The presentation aside, the cake was wonderfully light and fluffy with a refreshing fragrance of strawberries. I like the cream too. I'm not into fresh strawberries too so I didnt eat them(haha) but Jes who took a bite of the strawberry had her face shrivelled into a prune; it was that sour. Lol.

The Antoinette cake didnt have a full and robust bubble of it's raspberry coulis like the one RERG had. I poked the stupid bubble for half a day and only half a teaspoon of sauce came out. ZzzZzz. But the cake was not bad, to me, because it wasnt too sweet. However, despite sharing with Jes, we only managed to finish half.......somehow we just got sick of the taste midway. But I do admit, I'm not one with a sweet tooth. Jes dont like it's middle because it was bitter.

Oh to be fair, I didnt try the cake on the middle right so I cant comment whether it's nice or not. Jes and Lin finished it so I assumed it's nice. However, the top right cake(I called it the polka-dot cake) was a nightmare to me. I really cant take the taste and I puked the cake right out because I was unable to stomach it. It's a-u-t-o-m-a-t-i-c(Kelly Chen's song. Hee). Jes's reaction was less violent but she maybe took 1 or 2 bites? Ha. Lin was the only 1 who liked the cake. The bottom right cake was dry and tasted stale. Not worth me checking out their names.

Chef, did you reallllllyyyyyy had such a bad day??? That you actually served meringue to us like this~ Is it even so much hard work to present the meringue on it's right side.......

We had 5 pots of different teas from 2.30pm to 7.30pm. But since none of which impressed us and to stop the bill from growing, we requested them to refill with hot water instead just to keep our throat moist with our endless chatter.

I'm neither pleased nor unhappy with the service. We're completely alone indoors and maybe they're giving us the privacy so there's no service staff indoors. For the first few times, we politely stepped out to order our stuff and such but as the hours advanced, we simply shouted out. Sorry, we just want to continue our b*tching convo and dont wish to stop halfway again and again. Service was sub-standard too. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, all the staff send me odd looks, much to my uneasiness. And Edwin, the manager who was supposedly in charged to host me seemed to only extend his excellent service to me and me only. I was quite shocked that he inquired whether to serve me iced or warm water but promptly took his leave with my answer and totally disregarding Lin's preference. He assumed Lin wanted iced water as well.

This is just blatant proof that Antoinette simply wished to let the garbage fly in food incident die down with my acceptance but showing no sincerity whether in terms of service(to my friends) or presentation and quality of it's food and desserts. I can understand if a chef has a bad day and cooks less-than-excellent food but I cant accept a chef who presents his dishes in a shabby way(pasta and meringue) as if he's feeding his dog nor a manager who serves me a cake(the Strawberry Shortcake) which is crazily tilted at a 45degrees angle, as if it's collapsing anytime. I also cant accept a manager who gives me good service just because they wanna save their reputation but choose to give inconsistent service to my friends, whom he thinks doesnt matter.

Very disappointing. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm just suay. But twice, is really enough. I should thank god there's no cockroach or flies this time round. Amen. Weirdly, I got nauseous that night again. I simply dont know why. Maybe I shouldnt have went back at all. I should have extended this invite to anyone else other than me and my friends. Perhaps they will have a better experience?

Well, I feel Antoinette is being reasonable about all this but I do not think I should feel hopelessly grateful nor feel embarrassed on accepting the meal; like how some people may feel. I dont feel superior nor happy just because we got a complimentary meal; I dont believe one should go for the throat just because someone else genuinely made a mistake(in serving that fly). HOWEVER, I was pissed because the staff and especially the manager Zul wasnt emphatic and sincere in his attitude and apology for my situation. You understand where I'm getting? Like I said in my email reply, IF ONLY he and his staff had been emphatic about the whole situation, frankly speaking, I will just count myself unlucky and let it all pass, despite all the diarrhoea and nausea stuff. It's precisely because my friends and I were all treated poorly, coupled with my discomfort after the incident, that Lin felt righteous about it and thus commented on their facebook; which lead us here.

I'm so grateful for such a friend who stand up for me. Very very grateful. Smuacks!!!

Excellent food are of course a must in our criteria. But if the food is not even nice and the management is unprofessional with poor attitude, I dont see why should we patronize them again. Antoinette wont just collapse with just 1 review of mine. Similarly, I wont die because I wont get to taste their food/cakes again. We simply wont cross road again.

By the way, I gotten myself a new camera!!

SONY DSC-HX10V in white

No more blurry and grainy pictures in dim lightings or at night!!
Will do a review soon! This camera is pretty awesome!!
Any decent camera can take wonderful pictures in the day,
but the real test comes during the night!

(P/S Antoinette compensated me for my medical bills and transportation with a cheque of S$64.80)
