The things I love =D

Some of the food which I love to eat as a meal or as supper. =P And they're easily available from supermarkets and super easy and quick preparation. Sharing some stuff which I love. =)

Salmon Sashimi Salad
Pack of ready-to-eat Vege/Salmon Sashimi/Tobiko/Japanese Sesame dressing
Served chilled
Absolutely divine.

Crabmeat & Ham Salad, accompanied by Lychees
Ready-to-eat Vege/Crabmeat/Ham/Japanese Sesame Dressing with
Canned Lychees at the side
Served chilled
Lychees serve as a pop of refreshing taste in between mouths of salad.
Not all salads are boring. =)

Smoked duck breast with mandarin oranges (can make into salad too)
Ready-to-eat smoked duck breast/canned mandarin oranges
Pan-sear duck breast on either side until skin is crispy, drained dry mandarin oranges.
Super refreshing treat!

Lavender, Lychee black tea in my favorite floral ceramic and borosilicate glass teacup =)
This pretty teacup costs S$13 and I bought a pair online. =D Just looking at them makes me happy.

Peach flower tea
I always have the habit of drinking tea after an oily meal, to soothe the stomach.
It just soothes and relaxes your mind too. =)

I love this Self-Stiring Mug! Press the yellow button and it will just stir the drink by itself.
Bought this at S$7.90 online for my Milo Baby who loves to drink milo.
I can use it for my hot (packet)chrysanthemum and ginger tea too. No more annoying teaspoon in the cup, less hassle too!

Previously was down with Bronchitis and my friend advised me to keep a flask by my bedside, so that whenever those killer coughs come in the middle of the night, an immediate cup of warm water will stop the cough instantly. Because if not, the cough will worsen until I may become breathless or even vomit. =X

The cap can be used as a cup too! So cute right. It's 500ml and I bought it at S$13.90 online. =P

Life can be so simple, yet so fulfilling, when you spend it the right way, with the right ones.

Review of Valuebasket.com.sg and Lenovo S930 handphone

Sorry that I've been missing for quite awhile. Was impossibly busy.

I mentioned earlier that I've switched handphone because I lost confidence with Samsung phones as my ex-note2 gave me so much problems.

Yes, I got Lenovo S930 (run on Android jellybean, 3G only, dual sim). Why Lenovo? It's because I'm currently still pretty pleased with my Lenovo Yoga 11s(i3) tablet.

I'm lemming for a GIGANTIC screen phone and S930 is perfect with it's 6inch screen(It's slightly smaller than Samsung MEGA). Light weight, sleek and thin, it fits very nicely in my palm. I have very small palms. The price is very friendly as well. I got it from https://www.valuebasket.com.sg/  and it was a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend them. I chose to purchase the phone online because for very bizarre reasons, Singapore dont carry them despite it's a pretty new model at the time of my purchase.

Why valuebasket.com.sg instead of other sites like qoo10 etc? Because they has a 14day money-back guarantee as well as FREE 36 MONTHS warranty!!! They dont repair it in Singapore though; they have a "center" in Singapore Ubi Crescent. If the phone ever*touch wood* pose any problems, just bring it to Ubi, and they will ship it back to Hongkong to repair F.O.C. They also have a local tel line for contact. Other than the 36months warranty which other sites dont provide, the price of the phone is also the lowest among the various sites I've checked, e.g, qoo10. It costs S$365 with FREE shipping, with NO LINE required with any Sg telecom. Oh yes, and I recontract with Starhub, got an iphone5S in gold and sold it off for S$930. =) Still has surplus.

The above pictures are all taken from the internet, including the one above(except mine dont have the chinese words imprinted above the micro SD card storage slot). Showing you the dual SIM card slot which looks like this; so much larger than the micro SIM card which I'm using. I actually spent some time to properly place my micro SIM so that it fits at the gold-coloured sensors. You just try your best to make sure the 6 pins matched the patterns on the SIM card properly, else the SIM card couldnt be read. Thank god I dont need to buy the adapter. =P

Pictures below are all taken by me.

And so my package arrived and inside is this humongous BUBBLE BALLOON BOX, I call it. It's hard and sturdy and I'm very much confident that the handphone inside is unharmed in anyway by rough handling. =) I ordered just around 2weeks before the Feb CNY and was very glad the delivery was prompt. Actually I did call up to hurry them abit la....because I told them my Note2 is cranky already(stupid phone battery exhausts like nobody's biz) and the customer service officer is very nice and did hurry for me. And I got my new phone BEFORE CNY. So damn happy!

The handphone box with COMPLIMENTARY accessories kit which includes the screen protector, casing and travel charger. Which is totally sweet!

The case has a velvety texture and slightly rough to the touch to prevent slipping.

As I slowly peeled off the white sticker which sealed up the box, I was surprised to see the words "VOID" in silver being slowly imprinted on the box as soon as sticker was lifted.

Very cool. To ensure yours is a brand new box and no tampering. =)

Very good quality. The earphones are of slightly thicker material than the usual phones so very sturdy; they dont bend so much with the risk of being broken, which is the common problem. Like wise with the charger connector. Thumbs up.

Resolution for it's display screen isnt great; not very sharp. So it's quite fine for me because I dont really stare at my HOME screen. I use Chrome, whatsapp, Gmail, facebook and all other apps, and it's all very sharp, no problem at all. See below

Sample low light shots by camera with NO editing

Sample shots in bright sunlight

Sample screenshots and shots taken by the camera. I say, it's camera is not it's best feature but it will do if you're not very fussy. It takes a longer time than iphone to focus properly and needs a very steady hand. Generally I always use the camera from handphone as per default mode or LANDSCAPE mode and dont use any special scene modes or special effects. I usually choose to touch up or beautify certain pictures with apps. BUT for Lenovo S930, in good lightning, you can get past with the default normal camera mode and then just focus before shooting. But the focus is not great. Pictures are usually brighter and you dont need to edit for brightness, saves me the hassle.

And you NEED to choose modes to enhance the sharpness and minimize the graininess in low light settings, because the auto-focus cant help. Under settings, my favorite scene modes are 1) night scene, 2) portrait and 3) party. Sharpness and clarify is enhanced than just mere normal scene mode. Scene modes can be used in conjunction with special effects mode. My favorite special effects modes are, 1) Lomo-warm, 2) Rural and 3) Starburst. However, if you're on a particular mode(other than the default normal), then you cant tap on any area to focus.

However, like I mentioned, the main reason why I bought this phone is because I fancy a large screen, it makes it so clear and convenient to surf and check my work stuff on my handphone. I LOVE IT. I literally use it like a mini tablet because it has Excel(it uses Evernote) and all the settings/play store were all as per normal android phone. I use it just like Note2. Another great feature is that it has very good battery life, it's 3000maH battery can lasts you the whole day, suitable for people who spend long time outside, I dont even carry portable charger now because I dont need it. The phone has 8GB memory(only 1 size), expandable by micro-SD to 32GB.  It has 1 GB ram and I find that I cant open too many windows at one time and it may get abit slow at times. But on the whole, I'm very satisfied with this phone. Great sound quality and speaker too, because speakers are on the front of the phones instead of at the bottom like Note2. Note2 max volume is only 75% of Lenovo S930.

Very glad I came across https://www.valuebasket.com.sg. They also carry other brands of phones  and digital cameras at pretty competitive prices. It's worth checking out!

Don't EVER shop from TOBI again, NOR engage USPS to deliver your stuff.

#Update on 26th Oct 2016

Don't EVER shop from TOBI again, NOR engage USPS to deliver your stuff. USPS CLAIMED that my address is incorrect and hence resend my package back to San Francisco without even calling me. Fking stupid. My address is TOTALLY CORRECT. And TOBI expects me to pay another $10 for delivery. This is not my 1st time ordering from them and the previous time was OK. I emailed them, requesting them to liase with USPS as they had made a MISTAKE but TOBI just patronized me with an email and demands $10 for re-delivery. Looking at TOBI's attitude, even if I pay $10 despite it's not my mistake, if USPS still continue to claim they can't track my address nor do they give a call to me, the package is still gonna to be resent back to TOBI. And TOBI doesnt give a SHIT.

So yup, I'm NEVER going to shop there again. Utterly ridiculous and disgusting customer service. They said they will refund me, let's see when my money comes back. Waste my time doing the browsing and purchase. Sickening.

******************************************************************************************************************

I came across tobi on 21st Feb and made a purchase there and then, paying around S$150 for 4 dresses and a top with free shipping to Singapore from Los Angeles. I really love the unique designs which I dont get to see in Singapore. The quality looks good enough online. If you're new to tobi, you can get 50% off for just everything. You merely need to link it to your facebook account to get the code for the 50% off. It was so hard to settle for only 5 pieces but I usually limit myself to spend less than S$150 on a site which is new to me. The loots came yesterday 7th Mar, right to my doorstep. Which is like a 2weeks. Very pleased after I tried them out. Quality is good, a steal for the price I paid for, and are pretty flattering. I told V about it since she's also a crazy online shopper. And she asked me to whatsapp her some pics. I did. And I thought, since I took them, might as well I share it here too. It can provide some reference in regards to the quality, the material, the sizing for those pieces which I picked.

All the pictures are 100% unedited in normal handphone camera mode. They're just captured in different angles thus reflect different lighting.

The quality of the leather is pretty good, not too thin, not too thick. Zipper is in gold, smooth and of quality behind the dress. However, leather's still more suitable to be worn in air-conditioned surroundings. This is in size S, fits me to a T and I'm not wearing any bra; it's not possible to wear one for size S as it's just too fitting for me. Thank god the cutting of the dress is good as in it's tailored in a way that it doesnt "flatten" your boobs. The material is also thick enough so that you dont need to wear nipple tape even if you're going topless. And in case if you need my stats for reference, then I'm 33C/D 27 35. Slightly fatter recently.....sigh....I'm going on a no-carbo diet soon. I wish to drop an inch on the whole.

The back certainly looks nice with the lace. However, there is 1 major flaw, that is the cutting wasnt even for the left and right side seams because the left side seam consists of a side zipper, and somehow when being worn, the underlying zipper seems to "float" or "bubble" in an uneven fashion. It's kinda ugly because it looks as if I got a tumour or something near my left side. I'm not good with tailoring...but I suspect that's because the zipper being sewn was too long. Maybe I'll get a tailor to check that out. This is also in size S, very tight fitting, impossible to wear nude bra. Material thick enough to cover modesty. I thought my butt looks flatter that it is though. Maybe it's just too tight.

Sigh.....my man shoulders..........

In size S, although I think an XS might fit me better because as compared to the other dresses, this cutting runs alittle bigger. I'm wearing a nude bra inside and although the dress wont drop but it's not tight-fitting...and alittle loose at the waist...so...I probably cant dance in this, or it will slip. However, the sizing aside, the dress is really of good quality.

This is a V neck black bandage top with holes cut out at the sides. Again, like whyyyyyyy. I think I can only wear this after I shed off 1 or 2 kgs because the side is not very flattering for me. But I suppose on the whole, it still looks okie. Because the V will divert some attention. Nahz....wearing clothings is all about covering up your flaws and then diverting attention AWAY from those flaws.

(P/S the bottom is a skirt I bought from Bugis Village)

While shopping at tobi, I was really intrigued as well as grossly irritated at most of the dresses with holes cut out at the stomach. Like whyyyyyy? I feel super uneasy showing the rib cage but I caved in because I really like the V of the dress. Have an idea to find a tailor to "mesh" the 2 holes.

This is really difficult to wear, I think it's kinda easy to "run light", no matter whether you're wearing a nude bra or not.

However, it's really a battle to wear the dress. If I dont wear a nude bra, the top part dont look fully filled-up, although the rest of the dress fits me pretty well. BUT, if I do wear my nude bra, then I look abit top-heavy. Which I really dont like. I think I just have to find another super thin sticked-on bra to create a slighter fuller look with cleavage in order to hold up the dress. Because without a sticked-on bra, I cant hold up this dress in S size. But I probably cant wear an XS either, because the waist part is at the verge of bursting. So the cutting of this dress is kinda weird....and I thought I'm pretty importional already..... >.< .....

In short, I will shop at tobi again. =) Oh...provided that there are discounts...heh heh...

Random shopping - Gold Juicy Couture Zipped Wallet in Saffiano Leather. & OOTD

Bought this Juicy Couture wallet online from Ebay. =D And to be honest, I've been searching for a gold wallet for the longest time!! Just didnt see a nice one! Hmm....I heard some sayings about a gold wallet as well as a zipped-up wallet is good for wallet fengshui! So anyway, initially I only came across this design at Groupon where they're selling at S$175. Being a fussy shopper, I checked out online and after doing my sums, I got this from an international Ebay seller. After shipping and everything, this wallet costs around S$150. Yes I saved S$25. It would probably be even cheaper in the States...but what to do....everything is expensive in Singapore so we just have to pay for the shipping. It's still a bet because I've never seen this design in real life, was kinda worried that the gold tone wont turn out nice. However, my worries were unnecessary. =)

It's beautifulllllllllllll~~~~~~ Pics taken with my Note 2 and I didnt bother to edit them at all because they are so true to real life. The gold is gorgeous. The quality is pretty good too! I say, better than the usual Coach and Kate spade wallets(no offence). By the way, it's my first Juicy Couture buy.

Yessssssssssss!! Pink exterior with prints of a crown. So cute righttttt~!~

So far, I love this wallet. It was relatively lighter as compared to my ex-wallet, a Prada Bow Wallet in Saffiano leather.

Initially I was actually kinda worried that a Juicy Couture wallet with a price of S$150 will be compromised with poorer quality, since I'm kinda used to very durable and quality wallets(I love my LV damier canvas long wallet too). But I was thinking, this Juicy Couture wallet is also made from Saffiano leather(not fully though), which is the same as the Prada. And I've been lemming for a nice GOLD wallet for the longest time so I just give it a shot.

And guess what, although I cant comment about the durability for now since I've just started using it not long ago, but it's exterior leather feels like it's of good quality and it's gold colour looks posh instead of cheapo. It's zips are super super smooth, UNLIKE the zipper for my coin compartment for the Prada wallet. I probably cant fault the bow design of the ex-Prada wallet since initially I thought it was cute....but now I really prefer a wallet which is generally flat and easy to organize in the handbag, without any fear of crushing the protruded "bow".

But it has much fewer card slots. I think actually my cards can fit 2 long wallets. Zzzz...really...all cards in 1 wallet will simply make it look bulky and ugly. I really dont know what to do either. Maybe I will just try linking some of my credit cards with the savings account to double as an ATM card. Just like how I linked my FRANK card.

I love this current wallet now. Hee! Dearie was more than happy for buy it for me because it's much cheaper than most other stuff I like. Dont count on it my darling. :P

****************************************************************************

Bought this watch holder from Groupon at S$24.90. A very good deal! They usually cost over S$50 in shops. And I was extremely satisfied with the quality! Sorry the deal had already been sold out, you can follow my FACEBOOK because usually I share great deals over there on a more prompt and impromptu basis rather than blogging on a lagging pace. Hahaha.

I have more than 6 watches actually but the box of 10 is very squarish and difficult to keep on my dressing table. So I bought this which holds 6. It's enough anyway, to hold my most worn watches on a daily basis. It's generally very easy to store the watches as well as whip it out daily to wear, although my bangle watches are like "floating" over the cushion, but it does fit well inside the box. Forgot to take a pic with the lid closed, but there is ample space so my watches doesnt touch the lid at all. It looks nice. =) Now my watches are more organized on my dressing table. It also looks neater and saves more space as I dont have to keep a few different designs of bulky watch boxes!

OOTD

2 of my favorite buys some time back.

On the left is a dress I bought from Bangkok Platinum Mall 1st storey at S$8. It's like a new kind of stiff but stretchable texture/material. It's kinda rough to the touch but still okie for my skin. It gives the same slimming effect as bandage dresses in a less aggressive way, also at a friendlier price tag. I was simply amazed at how much slimmer I look. I bought a black/white striped high-waist-ed flair skirt of the same material before at Bugis for $12 too, it's super flattering as it made my waist look smaller.

The right is simply a off shoulder gold-studded thinly-knit top(S$25) and denim shorts(S$22) bought from Bugis Village Level 3(new wing). I love off shoulder tops because they instantly made you look slimmer when you have a "bigger" upper body than your lower body. It exudes a little sexiness without being overboard. I love shorts anytime. =)
