Sick on a monday, the worse it can get

It has been quite a long since I met yet another unreasonable woman. My family clinic was closed and I had no choice to see another. Entered a very packed clinic to see a bunch of people(somewhat in a line) crowding the counter so I walked over with that woman close BEHIND me. I intended to ask the last guy was he in the queue (for registration) because he was neither near nor far from the crowd.

While asking, the unreasonable woman sprinted forward infront of me and tried to jump my queue. But there were simply few other people who were further infront, so she hurried to the front of the counter from the other opposite side, probably intending to jump to the 1st in queue. *Rollz disgusted eyes* So I queued behind the guy and upon realizing they were addressing the queue in my right of direction, she then plopped over to my side, outrightly stood infront of me again to jump my queue. Im so fcuking annoyed. And shamelessly held out my IC for registration the same time she did.

The staff took my IC but still politely asked who came first. I bluntly said, "I came first" even when I was clearly behind her. I DID CAME FIRST WHAT!!! It was a full 5seconds before she spoke, "You came first?? I'm standing right before you! I came first!" I then said calmly, "No, I entered the clinic before you and eventually you sprinted to stand infront of me and jumped my queue." She then waved her hand repeatedly, as if dismissing me, with another hand holding on to her forehead, looking really sick.

I finally got a good look at her. She did looked very sick. Sigh. I then said, "I did came first but its okay I can let you go first since you look very sick." Then I told the nurse, "Nevermind let her go first." However, she repeatedly waved her hand at us, as if implying "dont bother" or "save it" or "fcuk off" of which the last would be the highest possible.

Whatever~ I just cant stand people who jumped queue. If she had politely asked me if she can go first, I'll definitely let her.

Last week had really taken a toil on me. The rushing to and fro from the hospital. Can be as early as 10am and can be as late as 12midnight. Coupled with my birthday celebrations with dearie (I just dont wish to coop up indoors for such lovely public holidays despite being kinda fatigued), I'm really really exhausted. Fever, sorethroat, cough and the most horrible running nose with insistent sneezing just reduced me to a pitiful state.

I know monday blues are common.
Employees taking MC's for mondays are common.
Employees making full use of their 14days MC leaves are common.

But really, Mondays tend to be the most crowded for clinics because most clinics are closed during weekends(like my family doctor) and those which are open charge crazily expensive and not all seems competent (I still trust my family doctor best). Why? Because, doctors who are mostly competent open their own clinics. Mostly are sole-proprietorships. And only those who are really competent can survive with their regular customers. So imagine he has to work 7 days a week? Of course that wouldnt be possible. So usually they work mon-fri and sometimes half day on sat mornings. For some clinics, they will employ free lance doctors to replace them on weekends. But most simply closed on weekends.

Free lance are kinda like part-time. When the clinics need to pay more for these free-lance doctors to work on weekends, naturally the charges will be more expensive, to cover the costs. And most of these free-lance doctors are not very competent, because they merely work part-time. Most of the commercial clinics like Raffles Medical and Shenton have their group of doctors who probably work on a rotating basis, but naturally being commercialized, their charges are steeper as compared to "home" doctors. Of course there are part-time doctors who are great, but so far I didnt meet any. The free lance ones whom I met on weekends, ALL SUCK.

So it means, most sick people like me, who werent super duper sick but still needs doctor's antibiotics, will endure with some medicine available at home on the Saturday or Sunday which they fell sick, and then eventually seeing the doctor on monday. Mine actually started on Saturday. So there you go, Monday have patients sick on both Saturday and Sundays, as well as healthy people suffering Monday Blues, yearning to get MCs.

Be glad that you're healthy and feeling great on a monday. Why spend hours queuing with sick people with all kinds of virus just so you dont need to go work? If you contract some virus this way, then it's super not worth it. Dont like your job? Find another one. If you're young and has time, try something which you've always wanted to try. Like air stewardess or model maybe? You're only young once. Once you get older, there are many things which you need to do just because you have more responsibilities.

Only 10% of people love their jobs so you are not alone! I was an employee before and I know it too well. Have laughs with your colleagues as you all do shitty work caused by others, pull through the difficult accounting times together at month end, gossip heartily about your lousy demanding boss or dreamily lament about your SO. If you're not a self-employed like me(each doing own stuff), then colleagues are very important. You need to have allies, baby. :)

A friend used to discuss with me about, would you prefer to have a job that pays well but with a job scope which you dont like, OR a job that pays badly but is a job which you love? Assuming both have the same number of working hours, like the usual 8hours 5day week. She was in a good-paying job then but was in a dilemma about changing to a job which pays lesser but one which she thinks she will enjoy more.

I was like...maybe around 24 years old then. And I said, go with the job that pays well. Because you only need to spend, say, 8 hours doing the things you dont like. Thereafter, you can spend the REST OF THE DAY as well as your WEEKENDS doing the things you LOVE! Like shopping, manicures, pedicures, hair treatments, massages, chill-outs with friends, clubbing etc. All these need money. This is a realistic world. Once you reach the stage whereby you dont need to check out price tags or simply prices on a menu, I tell you, you will love the feeling. You can give your family more money, you can do more savings and you can retire earlier.

On the contrary, if you choose a job which you LOVE but doesnt pay well, then you only get to enjoy that 8hours of the day and spend the rest of the day lazing at home. It also means you have less money to give your family because you probably wont have enough to spend yourself. When you cant spend much, you cant go shopping, you cant do ALOT of things and it's also difficult to hang out with your friends(unless you love being a parasite huh~). That will be SO SAD. And I haven even touch on the subject of "peers pressure".

Eventually she stayed with the job.

So just finish your work and then ENJOY. Life can be GREAT!

Wishing you a great Monday devoid of blues!

Stomp: Caught on CCTV: Woman picks up iPad left behind by family at coffee shop / Re-post: 还有人象我们这么诚实吗?:P

Caught on CCTV: Woman picks up iPad left behind by family at coffee shop
STOMPer Ivy says a woman picked up an iPad that her family had left behind on a table at a coffee shop along Upper East Coast Road. The incident happened yesterday (June 24) at about 7.50pm.

According to the STOMPer, the woman in white, who was accompanied by two men, one in a white shirt and one in a pink shirt, left for another table after taking the unattended iPad from the table.

The STOMPer wrote:

"We were eating at a coffee shop at Upper East Coast Road on June 23 at about 7.50pm.

"When we were done, we left the iPad behind on the table accidentally.

"This party of three, two men and a woman, came over to the table and picked up the iPad.

"They then moved to another table to sit down to have their meal.

"They were caught on CCTV.

"I have made a police report, but so far no one has tried to return it.

"Do you know them? I want them to return my iPad."

The Comments on Stomp Facebook

SERIOUSLY, I really dont understand the MENTALITY of this group of people. Who says the auntie who picked up the free iPAD is LUCKY and she DESERVES it. Like WHY and HOW?? WHAT THE F?

Like I commented above, it's really shocking that greedy Singaporeans feel it's OKAY to keep things belonging to others(when they have the means to return it). You really shouldnt keep things which are not yours. My hubby and I once returned an iPAD by emailing the owner(in his email correspondences in the iPAD) and leaving our contact number behind. I also left behind a link to show this picture. Which is a printscreen of our email to the iPAD owner whose iPAD we picked up.

Seriously...I wonder what kind of moral values the parents imparted.....*shakes head* Yes, the owner is careless and probably deserves to lose it. But you think you deserve to OWN it? Like how? By staring at it greedily with saliva? No you DONT deserve it, at all. Taking something which you dont deserve BY robbing of others, will just make you lose something ELSE in kind, in other WAYS. Mark my words. What goes around comes around.

After my comment, I didnt see any comments(saying how the auntie deserves it and the guy who lost the iPAD deserves it) going in for like half an hour or so. I know very well IF I didnt put up the link to the picture above, alot of greedy and cynical people will definitely rebutt me it's because I'm not that lucky to pick up an iPAD and thus dont have a chance to keep it, thus the righteous comment.

I'm showing the picture, that I damn well have the chance but we didnt do it!

Really hor.........I told dearie...."Even if they really feel they wanna keep the iPAD and feel Finders Keeper that sort of shit, just keep the bloody mouth shut and dont comment. Ought to feel ashamed already!! But they didnt! They feel it's a 天经地义 kinda thing which strongly disgusted me. This is totally different from someone who won the lottery. People who won the lottery bought lottery tickets with their hard-earned money. They choose to use the money to buy a chance, a chance to win the great prize with with hard-earned money. They choose to buy that chance instead of using the money to buy other things. Therefore, if they win, they earned it; they deserve to. It's entirely a different thing. Of course, if a man spends far too much of his money money on lottery, then it's kinda stupid too.

This entry below was a re-post because it kinda links to the news above who was reported today.

Like I said, hubby and I found an iPAD last year and returned to the owner by emailing him. I got his email through his iPAD as no info on his contact was found.

We were at a shopping center where dearie and me both parted to visit the loo when he found an iPad in the cubicle which he was shitting. Lol. Then he said, "Pass it to customer service?" And I said, "Dont be silly. This is Singapore, not Japan. The customer service people will just keep it for his/her/their own since they can easily dont record the lost&found.

I'm so sorry, I'm so blunt sometimes to my (poor)hubby but you know, he's like the very 单纯 sort and always think everyone is as kind and without bad intentions like him, which is so not true. I hate it and love it. Sigh....so I always have this "heroine" feel in me to always want to protect him.....a man of 1.8m towering over me...a chillipadi....haha....

Anyway, with a roll of eyes, I asked him to pick it up while I figured what can I do with it. And so he picked it up and strolled out of the toilet with a look that clearly looked as if he just murdered someone and looking all guilty for it. ZzzZzzz. Initially I thought we can slowly explore the iPad to see if I can find out who's the owner after we find a place to sit down. But dearie was so fidgety and so NOT at ease holding on to the iPad because he felt as if he did something very wrong.

"I just feel uneasy holding on to this..." He whined.

"Okok, pass it to me."

And soOooOoo, knowing how not-at-ease he felt, WITHOUT looking for a place to sit down, we merely stood by some corner and I began to explore the iPad. Dearie said, "Cant find any info....but he must be a kid lah, because when I on the iPad, it was in the middle of some game." Then I rolled my eyes, "So play games must be a kid lah, then arent you a kid for always playing games on your iPad/S2 too?" He blushed immediately. Haha. Anyway, if it's a kid, he/she will be with his parents and I'm sure the parent wont let the kid to go toilet with his iPad. They will definitely keep for the kid one mah. Anyway, I'm not one to assume and jump into conclusions though I really dont think he/she will be a kid.

So I began exploring the iPad. And while I'm exploring(with bright eyes), dearie was like hesitating and finally said...."Dear....it doesnt belong to us, we better dont see the things inside lah.... And then I told him, "If I dont explore the stuff inside, how to find out who's the owner? There must be some info in the iPad."

While speaking so, I gleefully discovered that the iPad has active email correspondences! Which means I can see the owner's email addresses and able to email himself. However, there was no WI-FI at the moment so I use my own iPhone to email the owner. Eventually he called few hours later and we passed it back to them at the same shopping center. =)

They were of course very appreciative and thankful! Especially the girlfriend. They are in their twenties. They even bought us fruit tarts from Yamazaki! I recognized the box/plastic bag right from the start. Initially we were pleasantly surprised and declined accepting it for the first few times. But after the 3rd time, then I was like...."Haha ok then thanks......hee..." I'm sorry, I simply cant resist cakes/tarts!! If it's money, we'll definitely decline.

We did exchange a few sentences. You know me lah, auntie mah. I was like....hee....asking them to be careful lor because I doubt they will be so lucky again the next time. And the gf was like nodding her head up and down, agreeing totally. Lol. The bf looked shy and quiet. Dearie and I were saying dont be so careless in future...lol...are we very lo-soh?

It feels great to be appreciated like this. =)

Unlike the girl whose wallet I picked up in Jcube's toilet, not only was she demanding that we immediately return her despite saying we're in a movie and will return her after that. I was rather annoyed by her attitude. She simply checked her stuff anxiously when we met, took it and left. So not appreciative. It was a super fat wallet which I founded in the toilet cubicle too, with more than few hundreds of cash, some useless cards and such. Saw a student pass and realized it belongs to an Indonesian exchange student. That explains the huge stack of bills huh. I was thinking it will be very troublesome to return since we had to drop it at her letter box(with her address on her pass) when I fortunately found a clinic card which had her handphone number. So same thing, I dropped her a message to call me.

Hmm.......personally I dont like people who picks up stuff and claim it as his/her own IF there are means of finding who's the owner. Like handphones...etc. I lost my handphone twice last time and nobody returns it. Though of course if it's money like $10 or $50, I will pick it up la. But if a bag of few hundred thousands then wont. Confirm something wrong. Lol. I really do wish Singaporeans can be more like the Japanese....but guess it's hard.....It's sad that while our country can be among the top for economy, education, medical etc but ethics and manners wise.........haiz...............

30 random facts

Just 30 random facts about me~ =P

1) I'm born on 9th August, Singapore's national day. Thus a leo. I remembered my parents used to be very proud of that fact but it's pretty annoying for me because for such a public holiday, everywhere is so crowded, traffic jam etc and not to mention, price hikes everywhere. Argh!

2) I love R&B and dance music or just music which are very sexy...like Kylie Minogue's Chocolate. =D I can loop my favorite song of the moment ALL day....for DAYS, until dearie can get pretty crazy. Lol.

3) I love love love music alot. I'm always on headphones. The moment I wake up, I will on music and will even play music from my Note 2 while I'm bathing.

4) I love dancing to R&B and sexy music too. I was being told by many I danced pretty sexily.......hmmm...... But few places play R&B nowadays which is quite disappointing.

5) I'm fascinated by the different packagings of makeup and I love to buy and use them. Fave brands are Etude House, Urban Decay, The Face Shop and Bourjois.

6) I love to eat.....I can browse a menu for a long long time even after I finished placing my orders. I remembered my BFF Kel used to joke the way to get to my heart is to get to my stomach first. Lol. My favorite cuisine is French, Japanese, Western and Chinese.

7) I used to be really good at multi-tasking when I was younger but now I'm simply horrible. Nothing gets into my ears if I'm blogging or simply when I'm reading anything. What happened??

8) One of my fave past time when I was like....16 to 23 years old...was snooker. I can play like 4 rounds a day for 5days a week. Few girlfriends play and most who play arent very good at it so usually I played with my guy friends. But I hardly play now so skills dropped.

9) I used to love Counterstrike(CS) too, a LAN game because I used to work in a LAN shop in Lot 1. Again, another game which very few girls play. Eventually I lost contact with my CS kakkis because my then-bf dont allow me to mix with a group of guys.

10) I used to love singing but kinda lost that love now.... Well, I still sing sometimes in KTV's with friends as well as in KTV pubs....but actually now I enjoy listening to people sing more.

11) I love chilling or drinking...whichever way you call it.....I love chilling over wine with girlfriends and simply talking about anything under the moon.....as well as drinking beer with groups of friends by playing silly games like 5-10, dice, direction etc, just to make the loser drink.

My favorite wine are Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon....particularly from Australia and Chile. I used to love red wine more but now I prefer white. A few favorite brands include Watershed, Lindemans and Santa Carolina Premio. I cant stand sweet wine...

My favorite spirit is Long island Tea.
Favorite cocktail is Lychee Daiquiri and Snowball.
And my current favorite beer is Erdinger, San Miguel and Kronenbourg 1664 blanc. =P

12) Hmmm........for a lady.......I think I can hold my liquor pretty ok.... Among all my friends, I think only Cel can hold it better. *Winks* Oh well, my soft spot will be I cant mix anything with champagne and red wine.

13) I used to be really obsessed with friendship and move heaven and earth just to help my friends without expecting anything in return. But let's just say experiences have taught me that friends come and go. I still treat my friends very well now but it's only a handful that I hold close to my heart.

14) I'm really receptive to all kinds of friends from different backgrounds, different religions, different lifestyles, different sexual orientation etc but the only thing I cannot accept are friends who simply make you pay and pay without returning you a dime, or friends who doesnt take care of you when you're drunk.

15) I'm really independent because I came from a single parent family and I'm the eldest with 2 younger brothers

16) Along with the fact that I baby-sit my 2 younger brothers since they're babies when I'm only around 9, feeding them with milk bottles, bathing them, wiping their shit etc, I have a phobia with babies and yes, I dont like kids.

17) I'm never one to go after guys nor even appear remotely interested because I'm simply too proud or thin-skinned to do that. Applause to girls who dare to make the first move!

18) I love anyone who can make me laugh, however my interest comes and goes very easily. I can like this guy for few weeks and then realized actually I dont like him that much. :O Kudos to dearie who has made me laugh just everyday and (almost) every moment and keep my interest very much alive even after 6+years. Lol. It works both ways though. =P

19) Ever since I suffered a major heartbreak for my first love, I'm strong ever since and I never took more than a week to nurse any breakups. I actually thank him though, to have made me a stronger person. =)

20) I'm able to maintain friendships with any ex-boyfriends(of course provided he didnt cheat on me) or just anyone who......who somehow didnt work out with me....erm...is that right. I simply meant, "Cant be lovers but always can be friends". But somehow guys cant take that. Why huh?

21) I believe alot in horoscopes and I guiltily based all my relationships and friendships on them.

22) I'm very sensitive and intuitive. I can easily sense who is interested in who and I love match-making my friends. =D

23) However for myself, I cant sense very well. Maybe because I'm always like a guy, a buddy etc so I will always think my guy friends treat me well because they treat me like a buddy too. Poor dearie.....liked me for 6months and I dont even know(I was attached then anyway). ZzzzZzz

24) For the above interesting fact....the moment I broke off, he hinted more "obvious" to me(Sorry I need super obvious hints), then I realized. HAHAHA! I believe if a guy really loves you, he will wait for you. Thanks for "waiting" for me to break off my dear.....*smuacks*

25) I have that old-fashioned thinking that you must let a guy woo you for sometime before you get together with him because I believe if he gets you too easily, he will not treasure you. It's only after another 4months then I got together with dearie. =P 4months very good liao okie, the previous one 6months. HAHAHA.

26) I actually know dearie because we're colleagues in the same insurance agency. At that time, he was like my 偶像(idol) because he's like a senior and he taught us many things. He is very charming, suave, humble despite being among the top sales, speaks fluently in both English and Chinese, knowledgeable, humorous and witty.

Damn funny lah him. I remembered I asked him what products he used because he has flawless fair complexion. And he said "SKII" with a straight face. I was like, "Really??" Then he said, "Of course no lah! Normal soap only lah." I was so jealous with envy. The thing is, I heard many girls asked the same exact question I asked before and they exclaimed the same "Really???" like me upon hearing his "SKII" answer. =S

27) My 2 favorite beauty bloggers is Suzi and Annie and I absolutely love their Youtube videos. They have blogs too. And they're really humble, generous, kind and inspiring people other than being insanely gorgeous. I dont like those who are cocky, haughty and selfish, no matter how outstanding they may be. Attitude is one thing, not overboard.

28) I tend to get really friendly to people and super passionate to my dear friends whenever I'm high on alcohol; I can hug my girls like koala bears, kiss them on the cheeks, which they usually will prefer to kiss me on the lips instead. Muahhhh~~~! Yes, I love my girlfriends. =D

29) I tend to talk alot of rubbish too when I'm tipsy and will just answer anything you ask me. That's so bad, so bad.

30) I have very tiny feet which are around 21cm long, which makes me impossible to fit it even the smallest U.S or UK sizes. The best I can manage is size 3(34) shoes which are slip-ons or slingbacks(where I can punch more holes to tighten it). I cant wear pumps which is quite my biggest regret in life.

Dont ask me wear kids' shoes!!! Arrgghhh! They are ugly and juvenile!

Happy Chinese New Year 2013!!!

Wishing everyone a great Snakey year with abundant wealth, health and love!!! Always be happy (but preferably not at the expanse of others' happiness)!!!

I just heard a very sad story of a hubby divorcing his wife of 10plus years. And the tragic thing was the wive totally didnt expect it coming because the husband was behaving like perfectly normal all this while. And the horrible part was the wive had to know the real reason of the divorce through the neighbour....

"Very sorry to hear about your divorce....sigh.....actually we didnt find it surprising...because we saw him bring a lady back home few times during lunch hour already...Everytime she came with dry hair and then leave few hours later with wet hair....but well...we're also not in a position to comment anything....."

Which calls to mind....if it's you, will you say?

When I heard this story....especially the part where the unfaithful husband totally showed no signs of disaffection....I asked, "Is he a Virgo?"

"Wah!!! How you know??? Got so accurate or not???!!!"

Of course!!!! Me expert leh. In horoscopes I mean. Lol. Anyway, I'm very glad that lady has moved on. :) Such a guy is totally not worth it.

Huat ah!!!! :D

Shopping at alldealsasia.com

Cant really describe and explain the sheer joy of simply my hubby coming back home to me. This is love I guess. =) Of course, my darling bought me supper too! Hee. That's probably why I'm getting fatter and fatter.

It has been a super unlucky week for me as I kept falling sick. One illness after another, or rather, when it rain, it pours. =( So I'm on a 5days course of antibiotics. To make things worse, I suddenly developed a lump under my chin near the throat, which is super painful even when I'm not talking. :~( It rather felt like I have an adam's apple(some distance above the throat though). ZzzZzz....I wonder is it linked? I'm so worried it might be a tumour or something...but I guess not....Dr Tan told me before all our organs are linked. Sometimes you have sorethroat but your ear gets swollen instead! It's more bizarre. Anyway....if tomorrow the pain doesnt cease, I might make a trip down to see Dr tan again......Sigh....... I'm just feeling super grouchy, restless and emooooo. Thank god tomorrow both dearie and me are off. =D

Damn, and my Note 2 is in for repairs. I have trouble charging it. =(  And it's 3-5 working days. Now, I'm using dearie's iphone3 and I feel most frustrated without the "back" button. And I couldnt see my contacts at all because they're not visible unless I import them into the handphone(which I dont want lah because it's hubby's phone). No what'sapp too. My own iphone3 was locked with password and I forgot my password.
I think it's more detrimental for me to stay home than go outdoors as you know..paying with paypal is so easy. =P I bought a ton of things from alldealsasia and qoo10.sg. Some for me and some for the household. =D

Movie title: Jack Reacher
Ratings: 3.8/5
Comments: It's not bad, I feel most Tom's movies have a minimum standard. But if compare to the Mission Impossible series, especially it's part 3, then "Jack Reacher" is a let-down because it's not thrilling enough. More details into plot and...how the puzzle is being unwind. Started off real slowly but gets better. Dont have too high expectations and you'll probably be satisfied. I might be too obsessed with Liam Neeson, as I still feel he's a better candidate for the role, especially right after hubby told me Jack Reacher is a 1.90+m guy in the novel. Liam is 1.93m. =P

Samsung Note 2

EmooOoOoOoOooo!~! Just realized the telcos are not selling them without contracts and I cant recontract mine because it has been less than 1 year. Samsung shops, Courts are currently out of stock though can pre-order at R.P S$998. Will need a few weeks. I tried to find online for local shops but the 2 I found also out of stock. Except export set which is going at S$870+. Better dont take the risk. Haiz So sad.......I want it nowwwwww!!!!!! =(

Almost feel like screaming, "Whoever can get me Samsung Note 2 in white now, I'll marrrrrryyyyyy himmmmm!" Then suddenly realized, "Eh, I'm already married." Wahahahahaha~! Okie just for laughs. =P Dearie is very sweet though, he wanna get it for me as our anniversary present but I'm considering as we kinda stopped giving each other anniversary presents in recent years because we really dont feel the need. We always get what we want as and when we like and we usually dont lack anything during the anniversary date. Just so this year for me. Hee. And if he gets me an anniversary present this year, it means I will also need to get him one. Which is headache la...........dont know what to buy!! Then might as well I buy my own stuff la since he dont really need anything now. =P I'll see what I can buy him then see how la..... another Mont Blanc pen? But he already has 3! ZzzZzz. Wallet....belt....? Hmm..............

Anyway, I should be trading in my old iPhone 3GS and iPhone4, both 16GB, so I guess I just need to top up S$500+ if I want to. Which might be better la because everytime dearie buys me stuff, he will set all the wagging tongues of those kpo people, as if it's their business!! Super irritating manz!! As if hubby pampers wife got problem like that. I also buy him stuff okie!! From branded shirts to pants to ties to cufflinks to belt to wallet to pens to perfumes also got okie!! Just short of buying him briefcases because those costs over S$5K and I ask him to buy himself. =PPPPP Naturally he'll spend more on me because he earns more what. Super common sense. I did "top up" and "value add" with "care and concern", which he seldom give me. =P

These green-eyed devils, only see the things he bought me and never see the things I bought him. Know nuts and nothing better to do. Hope their tongues rot and can never talk!!! Wahahahahaha!!

Samsung Note 2, 你逃不出我的手掌心的!!!! Muahahahaha!!!

还有人象我们这么诚实吗?:P

We were at a shopping center where dearie and me both parted to visit the loo when he found an iPad in the cubicle which he was shitting. Lol. Then he said, "Pass it to customer service?" And I said, "Dont be silly. This is Singapore, not Japan. The customer service people will just keep it for his/her/their own since they can easily dont record the lost&found."

Comments: So far we feel Nicholas Tse's movies have a minimum standard.

Cough cough cough

Have been coughing really badly these days...... Actually it's bearable in the day time but when night time comes, I will start to develop this TB-like cough which was....totally scary to the max. =~( Sigh.......tomorrow got an exam and I'm really super unprepared. Weekend was tied up with dear Jov's birthday and F1. To make it worse, the cough medicine just makes me super sleepy, it's like impossible to study. I just have to pray and hope I'll pass tomorrow. =(

BTW, Katy Perry is AWESOME!!! All those sweat was worth it, just for that 2+ hours of her singing!!

Updates soon after tues~

Just because I'm bored......

Playing with "Mei Tu Xiu Xiu" app.... Finally upgraded to iphone4 with Starhub and said "byebye" to M1. M1, you suck, okie? Iphone4's camera is awesome, although still pretty grainy at night when without flash(2nd pic). Just realized some phone casings(especially thick ones) can affect pictures taken with flash, causing a stupid misty effect. Stupidly bought my first pretty case which have black and white mickey mouse prints with partial mirror, but yet cant use. =(  My second cutie melody phone casing is much better now. =)

Oh ya and I nearlyyyyyy lost my brand new phone one night while chilling at Royal Room, Pan Pac hotel with Jov and gang. Imagine my frantic-ness when I simply overturned my huge bag the next morning and couldnt find my phone! Thank god Jov kept my phone for me and she probably didnt remember to return me when I cabbed home in a rush. Got it back from her the next afternoon. Seriously I also dont quite remember what happen that night. Had alot of drinks, beer, wine, martini, long island tea. The last I remembered I was sobbing outside Royal Room in a rush of emo-ness, saying I'm so afraid of being a spoilt sport bla bla, while Jov and Ama consoled me that I'm certainly not. *Scratched head* I'm so bo liao and emo sometimes for no apparent reason. Am sorry that I left without saying bye to the group...especially to Cel...who came out and found all 3 of us disappeared as Jov and Ama went St james. I'm just so...cannot make it. Duhz....

We couldnt get to have dinner with mummy dearest on Mother's Day itself because she wasnt feeling well again.... Actually few weeks ago, we bought her in and out of Mt Alvernia too. Sigh.....thank god she's okie now. And we had lunch with her the previous week individually on different days when we're not working. =) Mother's Day, just like Valentines Day, is just a day. So long so you make effort to bring mommy out for lunch or dinner whenever you can make it, I do believe it's just as sweet. =) One sad thing though.....I always love to bring mommy out to eat good food....good food meaning high cholesterol food....but now because of her stomach problems...she always have to eat very light and healthy food.....and there are many food on the menu which she cant consume...due to too oily or spicy etc. Although there are always yummy healthy food.....still.......sigh...you know it's not the same.... =(

So....do bring your parents out for good food while you still can....errr....of course....do note their cholesterol level also lah... =P

Homemade Osmanthus Jelly & Wonderful Custard buns

*Yawnz* I dont think I have the time to transfer any old entries from the old blog at all from wordpress. The buzzing weekend had passed in a breeze. I still have quite a number of pictures pending as well as events to blog. And I'm so freaking tired! Will blog about the past weekend's events soon.

Tonight is the first night that dearie is not sleeping beside me ever since we shifted to our own house. I'm glad Vickki is around to accompany me. But wow...it's simply a different feeling when the house is empty because hubby is out at work OR because he's simply not in the country for a few days. The feeling is different.... No wonder Hui said she felt unbearable when her hubby was overseas at work for months, facing an empty house. I bet I cant even stand few weeks. The only consolation is perhaps I can have the whole bed to myself and I can sing to my heart's content anytime. Muahahaha~

Sharing a few interesting and yummy stuff with you all. =)

Yummy home-made Osmanthus Jelly! =D

Check out my pretty tissue box! Hee! Bought from a stall at Toa Payoh Central at $9. Suits my pretty side table to a T isnt it? =D

I'm a lover of osmanthus in terms of smell and taste but it's not readily available in Singapore. I've tried finding in local chinese shops like Fu Hua but nobody has it. Therefore imagine my glee when I saw a stall selling it at Sembawang, Sun Plaza level 1.

Arkon, Coral Seaweed Jelly (Product of Taiwan)

They're other flavours too. And the nice lady boss even passed me an A4 size paper with all it's benefits. Heard there's plenty of minerals, collagen, etc in it. I dont really care, haha, most importantly must be nice to eat. =P It's 100% vegetarian too by the way.

It's super easy to make. This is the smaller pack priced at $13(pretty pricey hor) and it has 9 cubes inside. Each cube can make 2.5 bowls like the one above.

Simply boil 1 cube with 500ml(normal mineral water bottle) of water till it totally dissolves. Let it cool for few minutes before pouring into bowls or moulds which you deem fit.
Chill in fridge(not freezer) for a couple of hours and you're done! The amazing thing is, even if you chilled it for more than a day, the texture stays the same and will not harden. Ahh...of course I cant guarantee the same if you keep it inside your fridge for 30 days la.

Garnish with longans if you want. =D But personally feel they taste better alone! The texture is really wonderful and the level of sweetness suits me just right. Chilled desserts like these are great for hot days! =D

I use a frying pan of diameter 30cm to boil at medium fire over 5-10minutes(so that it's faster). Do note if you put lesser water than 500ml or boil them longer than needed, the jelly will be firmer and sweeter. You can add more water if you prefer them to be less sweet and softer.

Custard Buns

*Updated* Time to time, I went back to buy and the size of the buns were like shrinking everytime I went back. Like from a C cup to B cup and recently I went back to buy and I'm so disgusted that the size of them had shrink to smaller than an A cup. It's that pathetic and the price is the same, which easily made it like a triple in price. I was so appalled that I voiced it out why the drastic shink in size but was answered back in attitude, "Where got?!?!" So annoyed!! Business became better but drop so much in quality!! Had decided to omit the address of the shop as well as boycott!! Humph!!

This is my love. I can eat 2 everyday for consecutive 3 days and dont feel sick at all. =)
Therefore dearie usually buy in dozens as we both love it very much. Generous fillings most of the time, not too sweet too! Priced at $1.50 each and every 5 free 1 after 9pm. Warning though, sometimes they closed shop at 9pm. Best served chilled!

Actually I saw similar looking custard buns at The Icing Room at Jurong Point. They're priced slightly cheaper when you buy in pairs but I'm not sure they taste the same. Will try soon.

Actually posting pictures at blogger also posed some problems. I realised when I upload them, they simply appear far smaller than they should, despite having chosen the biggest size. I have to upload them at Flickr first. But...I think at least the pictures are sharper than those in wordpress. =) Anyway, like my new blog layout? =) Will add more stuff in time. =P

Hi blogger(again)

Oh yes. Finally I had enough of wordpress blur pictures that I've once again, decided to change a blogging platform. I cant possibly let my crisp pictures by my precious Lumix put to waste, right?
I did online research about pictures appearing blurry though. However, I can only find solutions(which work) for blogger but not for wordpress. Else, they're far too troublesome or complicated for an IT idiot like me to comprehend. Somehow, blogger entries can be exported to wordpress but it's very difficult for the vice versa. So..see how...perhaps I'll shift few entries day by day if I have the time...or I'll just transfer the more significant entries(like events etc)

Okie. Hear from me soon. Gotta tweak a new blog layout, design and everything. I like this part though. Heez.
