Woman slashed to death: 3 traumatised witnesses move out of CCK flat
Three female tenants, believed to have witnessed a woman being slashed to death, were so traumatised that they moved out of Choa Chu Kang flat on the afternoon (Jul 7) the incident happened.

According to a report in Shin Min, all the three tenants were at home when the slashing incident took place.

One of the tenants sent an SMS and called her friend numerous times between 2.39am to 3.41am on Sunday to inform him of the incident.

Her friend, Mr Yang, was sleeping and did not pick up the calls.

In an interview with Shin Min yesterday (Jul 8), Mr Yang said that Ms Zhang Jie who was slashed shouted out to one of the tenants for help to call the police.

Mr Yang also mentioned that Ms Zhang and her boyfriend, the suspect, had been dating for around three to four years.

He added that he had not heard of any recent conflicts between the couple who have known each other since they were in school.

Shin Min also reported that the flat was splattered with blood and there were two bloody footprints found at the scene.

The cleaners were seen cleaning up the corridor that had two pools of blood on the floor and blood splatter on the wall.

Some of the neighbors were worried that the blood along the corridor will cause trauma to their children and kept them away from the unit.

NOT the first time already!!! Somehow these PRC ladies always get slashed up by their boyfriends!! I wonder WHY!!! Why not SG ladies? Why not Malaysian ladies? Why not Filipino ladies? Isnt it the obvious?? Before they come, we HARDLY have such first degree murders as well as fatal traffic accidents. Murders only occur like few times per year and most of them being Indians. NOW, EVERYDAY got bad news. The PRC b*tches broke up couples and families everyday, played with old men's CPF and cheat all their feelings cum money and end up getting chopped into pieces by their angry boyfriends. SERVES THEM GOOD!! THEN, the PRC b*stards drive like their own boss on our land, mostly by being bus drivers and NTUC lorry drivers and caused all the accidents here, here and here. FU!! GET THE F OUT OF MY COUNTRY!!!!!!!! PRC, FU FU FU OKAYYYYYY!!!!! The Sichuan earthquake is just your karma!!!! Since you people can make poisonous baby milk powder and kill each other, so GOD is helping you too!!!

I wonder who's the genius who allowed the large mass of them over here. Foreign talent. Talent my @ss!!!! Creating all the social problems, accidents, harming us Singaporeans. For the amount of GDP growth, is it really more important and precious than our own people's lives??

Movie Review: Despicable Me 2, White House Down

Ratings: 4.3/5

Comments:
So funny! Laughed till my mouth became dry actually. Be sure to bring a bottle of water in. =D Great show to watch with family and kids. =D Time for family bonding. =) The only thing I dont like is Steve's dubbing for Gru....it's just a tad annoying to my ears with the over-the-top weird accent.

Ratings: 3.7/5

Comments: It's weird that the storyline is more or less like "Olympus" starring Gerald Butler aired not long ago.

A comparison is inevitable. And while Channing is charming and Jamie being cute in his own way, the show is kinda slow and draggy in the beginning. Some scenes were illogical. And definitely not as thrilling as the former.

It did get more hilarious towards the middle. Still worth a watch.

Confume 100% Pure Argan Oil

This will definitely be in my July monthly favorites! We all know the goodness of argan oil for our hair and skin and 100% pure argan oil is definitely the most sought after, despite it's hefty price tag. I've heard alot about Josie Maran's Argan oil(available at Sephora) and long wished to try it BUT I seriously cant stand the smell of it. Not to mention, it costs around US$48 for a tiny bottle of 1.7ounce(50ml)

This Confume 100% Pure Argan Oil costs around S$24.90  from Beaute Spring and what's more, they're having a 50% sale now, so it's only around S$12.45 for a total of 120ml+25ml=145ml! Great bargain!! It's around 14times cheaper than Josie Maran's Argan oil. Tester is available for this product. And they smelled so nice and instantly made my hair very soft and smooth. Immediately I grabbed 2 boxes and tried on my skin at home. The driest parts of my body are my hands, cuticles and especially my poor feet and it was amazing how that few drops of goodness turned my feet as soft and smooth as a baby. =)

Confume is from Korea and most instructions were in Korean. It says to use on hair, body, hand and nail but it didnt mention face. I haven tried it on face..yet...but so far, it work wonders on my skin. It absorbs extremely fast and leaves no oily residue behind. A little goes a long way too so go drop by drop. I also apply them to my damp hair before blowing them dry, it makes my hair soft and silky. In comparison, I feel they work better and is also cheaper than L'oreal Mythic Oil(125ml at around S$28-S$40, also mentioned in February's monthly favorites).

There's nothing much to complain about this other than the packaging but for the price, I really have no complaints. Argan oil is said to be best stored in dark glass bottles. Oh well, maybe I'll look around for 1 to store them. Maybe it might not be a super pure 100% since it has fragrance added but I rather they add this fragrance than to be of the pungent smell which Josie Maran's Argan oil has. Super versatile and does great things for your hair and skin, I wont really care if it's really 100% pure anyway, since nothing is really 100% pure nowadays. So I say, run straight to the nearest Beaute Spring to get it. I did ask when the sale will end, but wasnt given a definite answer. I suppose while stocks last. So go right now!!

Previously used Confume - Argan Treatment Straight Cream(with 100% pure argan oil) in May 2013 monthly favorites and was very pleased with the results too!! It's good to pick it up during this 50% sale too. Happy shopping. =)

Puppy love?

Bali Trip in May 2013 (Part 1) - Sense Hotel, Ku De Ta(Bali)

Phew! This entry is super over due! The trip was in May. ZzzZzz. I almost forgot about it until I used the camera on last Sun, which is Ken & Karen's wedding. From like over a hundred pictures, I managed to "condense and concentrate" into a more manageable number for a blog entry. =P

Firstly, our Bali trip was super super cheap! A total of 5 of us, Kel & Joh, Rey and Jy, I'm super ecstatic to have this trip, along with 2 of my besties. I know we all have family commitments and it has been kinda difficult to meet up. So I'm very thankful that finally a trip was organized! I've never went to Bali before but Kel said we had a very good deal. With her recommendations, we purchased some airtix and hotel deals, which totaled less than S$300 for a 5days 4 nights!

We cant have any checked in luggage though, only a 7kg hand-carry. It's my 1st time doing a no luggage flight and I got to transfer shampoo/shower foam/makeup remover etc into my small bottles due to the amount limit. No sharp items like scissors or shavers too. Thanks to my Elos, I dont need them anyway, can totally stay hair-free for more than 5days. =D

We stayed at Sense Hotel which we're pretty satisfied with. =)

I love the outdoor feel. You can totally lie there and enjoy the sun. The pool is pretty short and narrow though. It was so funny. I think that angmor swam few strokes then reached the opposite side liao. Well, you can always swim 100 laps. Haha! Pool is standard depth, only for height 1.5m tall and above only. HENG ah.........almosttttt cant swim in it. =P

The first floor's rooms with clear glass doors is the spa area. Apart from the very good deal we purchased for 4nights, we also got a free 1 hour massage with scrub, and flower bath. I simply love  the spa room and the big tub(because no tub in room)!! But the massage and scrub were pretty sloppy. Well, free one lah so dont hiam. =P

The breakfast area. The continental breakfast was actually pretty good(if you compare with standard hotels). But not much variety.

View from our room. Ya technically you can just jump down from the window into the pool.
Of course I'm totally kidding~ Why you no sense of humor~ =P

Our beds!! Not bad at all!!! Fluffy pillows and bed. I slept SO WELL and I'm notorious for being fussy with foreign beds. Just that the toilet pretty small lah, especially the basin. Shared the room with dear Jy. =)

I dont realllllllllyyyy remember in details exactly how we spent the 5 days 4 nights...but if I'm not wrong(according to the pictures sequence)......the first night, we simply loitered out from our hotel and after walking around 20minutes or so, we reached Ku De Ta to have our dinner!

Funny like how they have their own clothings shop. =P

Pretty lights. Still testing out my pretty-new camera for night shots.

Actually it was really pretty dark. And the road which we walked from the hotel was also full of humps and bumps, so best is to wear flat covered shoes.

This side was so empty. We were ushered to another side, supposedly the dining area where there are proper tables and chairs.

If the menu confuses you, the numbers are in hundreds of thousands in Rupiah. Say the mains, braised short rib is written as 300 in the menu, it means 300,000 Rupiah, which is around S$38. One hundred thousand Rupiah is around S$13.

Joh & Kel, the lovely couple

I took sooOOoo many shots of this beautiful couple with different modes and only 1 turned out to be okay(I'm so sorry!!!). (=.=)''''''''''''''
I think I'll just stick with intelligent auto in future..... =|

Some of the different mains taken with my camera. Meh~ I know. Still testing out lah.

General Review of Ku De Ta(Bali):
Top left: Complimentary bread
Top Right: Seafood Medley
Middle: Steak
Bottom left: Duck confit
Bottom Right: Cod

We had an unanimous review. That is, they all tasted absolutely delicious!! My cod is kinda salty but still okay. At least not bland. The prawn from the Seafood Medley might be slightly tough. That's about it. Slightly disappointed that we werent served any amuse bouche but I must say the portion of mains were really substantial! We got so full that we cant order any dessert at all.  We did exchange our food for tasting and I felt the steak was the best, followed by my cod. =D

Apart from the bottle of white wine we ordered, we adjourned to the outdoor area(sandy beach) overlooking the sea and managed to squeeze in 1 or 2 drinks(like beer etc). It was pretty hot and humid but still considered comfortable being lounged in the huge day bed, sheltered by ultra big umbrellas.

Bliss, so blissful. A feeling which you cant get anywhere in Singapore, no matter which hotel you stay or how much you spend. =) Of course, I have great company too! =D

These 2 smoke addicts hor........the moment they reach any outdoor areas, they'll start puffing away. Joh tried the cigar from Ku De Ta. Hoots! Not expensive though, around S$20.

Errrrrrrrr..................use sala camera mode. Then became like that. Got FLAMES manz!!
Funky Rey with Sexy Jy! Rey always look like lobster everytime after his drinks. Haha!

Dont know what he so cheeky about?? Happy that I'm snapping picture of him? Bleh!~
I'm the photographer mah~ Dont think too much. Hahaha!

I dont know why he smiled so cheekily again. ZzzzZzzz.

Really really really really hope the 3 of us can remain besties for the rest of our life! =D

I asked Rey and Jy to 5-lian2-pai1(5 multiple cute shots)
They are really good manz!! So funny, cute and natural!!!

Super duper cute right??!!!! =D

We also tried. But I'm really kinda limited poses...duhz. LOL. Need to practice more!!!

Poor waitress had to keep snapping us.........poor thing...... Lol.

Thanks so much waitress....you're so kind to endure our act-cute faces.......Lol....

I told them we're from Malaysia though. HAHAHA! I'm so kidding! Jy is from Malaysia and she joked to the waitress, "Nono, we're from Singapore." Muahahaha!! (Jy said that as if the waitress heard me, but she didnt hear me because I was only whispering as I'm joking only =D) Alamak! We should have said "我们是中国来的(we're from China)!!!" =PPPPPP

Oh, then we started to discuss what to do the next day! Then the guys started proposing snorkelling....water rafting...and other adventurous water sports........which genuinely got me worried!! Because I'm afraid of water lah....although I do know how to swim(but like tortoise). But I really applaud their patience and kind understanding as they finally decided on water rafting, which is the least dangerous and they took a long long time to explain the safe as well as the dangerous side of the water sport to us girlies. In fact, Kel and Jy dont know how to swim at all. But maybe I've heard too much tragic water accidents already so I'm the most paranoid. =P

I tell you...we're simply glistening with sweat and oil.......at least for me.  (=.=)''''''''''''''

Somehow I feel Rey and Jy simply looked as if they belong to the beach!
Tanned, sporty and sexy! Wee-o-weet!!

Cheers!!!!! Huat ah!!!!!! We girls had San Miguel, Rey had Mojito.
Joh haven even finished his glass of white wine during the dinner. (=.=)''''''''''''

Shiok!!! Definitely recommend a visit to Ku De Ta in Bali. The alcohol were considered cheap. The food were reasonably priced with their huge portions. Only their wine are slightly pricier. The cheapest bottle(which we had) was around S$120. Our total bill 3.4million rupiah. HAHAHA!!

To be continued......................

Giovanni 50:50 Balanced Hydrating-Clarifying Shampoo

Together with the conditioner, the pair was my birthday present from Ir. It might be because I was using pretty moisturizing shampoos for the previous months and I felt there's alot of build-up on my scalp which caused alot of discomfort. Clarifying shampoos are not known for being super moisturizing. However, this shampoo did a GREAT job is cleaning up my scalp; it simply feels so clean, so fresh. While it isnt a hydrating shampoo(to me), it did not dry out my already-very-dry hair. A good conditioner/treatment is still essential after shampooing. Lathers well, smells nice. Recommended to use once every 3 days for oily scalp and dry hair to purify the scalp.

Tangle Teezer

This is not easily available in Sg and I got it at S$26.90 from Luxola.com. FYI, I have long hair which are easily in tangles especially after washing. I usually have to use big-fork combs to zig-zag through the tangles carefully so as not to hurt my scalp or cause even more hair loss. Most of the time, hair being tugged off is an inevitable painful scenario which I have to endure, despite being very slow and careful. Imagine my glee when I ran Tangle Teezer through my tresses without being stucked midway. I was simply AMAZED because the brush went through smoothly without experiencing any pain(from hair fall). I must say hair fall is reduced and hair brushing became an easier chore because I dont need to zig-zag-comb it ever so carefully and slowly. My only gripe is that I feel it doesnt have a very sturdy grip because it has no handle(the way it was designed).

ZA - Smooth Cleansing Oil

I cant tell you how much I LOVE this cleansing oil. It's texture is not overly thick or liquid. It cleanses extremely well; removes all my waterproof eye makeup and eyelash glue easily. It's easy to emulsify it and wash off too. And doesnt leave an oily residue behind. In fact, it already feels squeaky clean even without double cleansing. But I did(double cleansing) anyway. Lovely smell(signature ZA smell). It's pretty affordable too. Love love love! I shall stick to this for a very long time.

Origins Super Spot Remover - Blemish treatment gel

This is a super tiny bottle retailing at S$30 but a little goes a long way for pimples. I feel it works great on swollen bumps(like when you feel a pimple might be popping out) and on big swollen pimples which feels soft to the touch. It stings like hell but usually after applying it, the next day the bump will either disappear or shrink in size.

Actually I seldom use it until few weeks ago, I almost used 3/4 bottle for more than a week on some pimples on the side of my chin. But somehow they kept coming back after subsiding for awhile, each time more serious than the last. They became real hard, as if there were something inside. I purged and they bled etc. I was really at my wits end as I realize it's never going to heal. That's when I tried another product that has been sitting in my drawer; Acnevir Acne & Redness Relief Gel, the next product below.

Acnevir Acne & Redness Relief Gel

This was simply my life saver few weeks ago. I was having a few of the most insistent and stubborn acne at the side of my chin which simply dont go away! They're the type which felt real hard as if something were inside; totally different from the soft bumps which I usually have(which Origins Spot Remover works best). Acnevir is simply AMAZING. I couldnt believe the acne which bothered me for WEEKS and which shamed the renowned Origins Spot Remover, could be healed in just ONE NIGHT. In the next morning, when I touched my chin, they felt smooth and even. Which was almost unbelievable because they were like red, uneven with something hard inside just the night before. The ugly hyper-pigmentation marks were still there though. =( But at least they are totally smooth and flat now and can be covered properly with little concealer. I still continued to use Acnevir for few days on the marks, it did lighten the marks alittle further but finally stopped lightening it. I guess, it's duty end there and I just need to find another product to lighten my marks. Sigh....

I'll say both Origins Super Spot Remover - Blemish treatment gel and Acnevir Acne & Redness Relief Gel are awesome products; it depends on what kind of pimples/acne you have. If you have soft, swollen bumps, go for the former. If you have hard bumps as if something is inside, with bleeding etc, then go for the later. But Acnevir is so much more affordable, perhaps less than 1/3 of Origin's price. However, it can only be purchased from drugstore.com

L'oreal True Match Super blendable Concealer in neutral

Like I said, the horrendous acne left marks behind. =( And I had to go buy a concealer because I dont own 1. I was pretty lucky that my first buy turned out to be great for me. The shade "neutral" was great to pair with most of my foundations. Very blendable. It's actually pretty light but it's buildable to max medium coverage. Not more than that. It looks very natural and lasting power is not bad. It's light and airy texture is also suitable to use as a highlighter under the eyes or at the t-zone(if you're getting a slightly lighter shade than your skin tone)

Etude House - Nail Remover Acetone Free

I have very dry hands and cuticles, so much so skin around my cuticles peel. So painful. =(  This nail remover is gentle and doesnt cause my nails to get more brittle. It's not a very strong remover so yes you need alittle more patience when removing nail polishes but rest assured they still do a good job in complete removal. What's more important is, I realized my nails did not get softer and weaker after using it, as it always do with other nail removers. What's even better, the aloe vera oil in it conditions my nails and cuticles very well so they feel very moisturized. You can totally skip using cuticle oil, if you're as lazy as me. It might leave some oily residue behind but if I find it being too much, I will use tissue paper to wipe it off. Before using, you need to shake the bottle. Nice smell too

Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat

I know Seche is renowned for it's top coat, Seche Vite which dries extremely fast and gives a brilliant and glossy finish to any nail polish. Yes I totally agree. While I love all these properties, I'm extremely disappointed with it's poor protection of colour. Despite sealing in the colour with an ending horizontal swipe along the nail tip, colours can get chipped off after 1 shampoo wash. So it's not really my favorite.

Instead, I love it's base coat more. I dont have smooth nail beds because I dont buff my nails prior to applying nail polishes and Seche Clear do a great job at creating a very smooth nail bed for colours to go on flawlessly. It's also pretty liquid in texture, provides a very thin coat and dries fast.

Bourjois Loose powder, Airy Finish in 01 peach

This powder is so so so fine! It does give an airy finish and feels so light on the face. Maybe you might think so what if a loose powder is very finely milled? Well, it means, it goes on very smoothly on your skin. It will in turn makes your skin look very smooth and flawless because it adheres very well on your skin. A finely-milled powder will also make your skin feels as soft as a peach. Also, it will be light-weight on your skin so that your makeup wont look thick; so long so you have the right colour(or else choose "translucent"), it will look flawless and natural if you got a good base(foundation/bb cream etc). It's better for your pores too as it wont clog. =)
However, the packaging and puff really sucks! I think I need to transfer the powder and replace the puff.
