Doctor wrote there to advise me to cut down on red meat, shell fish, internal organs and so many food!!! =( No foie gras, la la, prawns, crabs for me liao. Boo hoo~!~!~!~ To think dearie proposed a crab feast during the weekends with in-laws. *sobsssssss*
Collected many fabulous Xmas pressies too(I also gave out fantastic ones =P) and had a wonderful Xmas Eve Party with my colleagues. I'll update if/when I have the time, hopefully so if/when I get hold of some pictures. Meeting my fave girlies very soon this week and I'm so looking forward to it!! Also had a lovely time on Christmas day itself pator-ing with my lovely and sweet hubby who simply gave me the bestest bestest Xmas pressie!! Love love love!!! Comments: Isnt it titled "Chinese Zodiac" when we were buying the tickets? Anyway, this is one show not to be missed!! Really! Missed any movie this year and never this!! This is Jackie back into action!! I've always been a loyal fan of his movies and as much as I like him, I understand he has been cutting back on all his actions, moves etc as his age caught up. Which is definitely no blaming on him! Oh manz, the hero is over 50!! BUTTTTTT, for CZ12, my eyes can see and my heart can feel the old Jackie is back! His agile moves, his funny antics and dialouge, the signature popping of mints with style, Oh, how I've forgotten I missed his movies so much. He is back. He really is. More than that, on top of his usual fancy actions, this time there is really some eye opener stuff. Spoiler no more, just catch this flick!!
Dearie brought me to Addictions for dinner. =) Wonderful ambiance and I love sofa seats with cushions. =D
Although I would have preferred my crab bisque($12) with a thicker consistency, thankfully, the flavour wasnt discounted. Kinda super miserable amount of crab meat. However, it's evident that both the crab meat as well as the bisque were prepared freshly. Accompanied by 2 slices of the best garlic bread I've tried. Light and crisp, fragrant with herbs(smelt like thyme?) and garlic, I cant help but order a basket of 5($4) to go with the liquid soup.
Actually considering the very limited menu(consisting of mainly 2 soups, 4 pastas, 7 main courses, 4 desserts, many appetizers though) I would have high expectations of it's mains. My char-grilled beef tenderloin with herbed blue cheese butter and red wine sauce($32) was wonderfully presented, though I would love more vege. Incredible smooth texture, the beef was perfectly cooked to my preferred medium doneness with all it's juicy goodness being retained. HOWEVER, the accompanied red wine sauce was horribly wrong. Tasted very wrong and sour as if vinegar was accidentally poured more than it should be. Or was the red wine spoilt? The asparagus were under-cooked and the carrots were totally raw. While the latter was still edible, I'm not a rabbit leh. I prefer to my vege to be cooked, thank you very much. Lastly, lumpy mash was pretty unforgivable as even KFC makes smooth mash.
Dearie ordered triple chocolate treat($12), consisting of chocolate ganache, chocolate marquise and molten chocolate cake which sounded so terribly sweet even to my ears. Indeed they are. But probably chocolate lovers will adore it. I just dont have a sweet tooth, I must admit.
All in all, service was friendly and attentive, considering that we're the ONLY customers throughout. But there were times which we had to shout to the empty restaurant so that the servers stepped down from the 2nd storey. Which was a tad annoying.
For the quality and freshness(not the execution) of the food as well as the ambiance of the place. ..okay service, I thought the price of the food and alcohol are reasonable. Wines, martinis etc cost around $12-$15 per glass. Instead, the non-alcoholic beverages seemed overpriced. Alcohols are the way to go! Haha!
We then adjourned to The Still Bar, just nearby(same establishment), which was the main reason that we wanna dine in Addictions because Kumar's performance was at 10.30pm!! Cover is $25 for Kumar's show, comes with 1 free drink. Happy hour is from 5-9pm and prices are extremely friendly at around $10-$12 etc per glass of wine. However, kinda disappointed that they didnt come around asking for last HH orders and dearie ordered his 2nd chardonnay slightly after 9pm at around $16?...We kinda forgot about the happy hour. It was pretty empty even at 8+pm and the miserable number of tall tables seemed very very odd as it makes the place even more sparse. Deco was......zzzz.......dearie commented that he felt that he's in a CC with tons of cheapo ugly Xmas decorations.....I rather thought I'm in a function room, with all the black curtains....
We were being ushered into another separate room for Kumar's performance...again...the room's deco was...seriously, my secondary's classroom looks better. That being said, we enjoyed Kumar's performance immensely. There were 2 sets with a short 15minutes smoking break for him in between. Haha. Really laughed until stomachache manzz. Even though there were little repetitions for some jokes which he already shared previously(we watched via Youtube), it was still very funny! He has amazing lightning fast reflexes! On top of my Sauvignon blanc which came complimentary with the cover, I also had a 1 pint Erdinger at $18. Ordered nachos with cheese($12) and they were not bad....although I wished the cheese were warm.
There was live band performance consisting of 2 girls in The Still Bar at around 10+pm, which Kumar commented they looked like boys instead. Haha kinda funny...but I did got a shock when I saw them after I came out from the ladies. (=.=)'''' Kumar wasnt lying. But well......I thought they sang pretty well. Had to give their performance a miss as we're watching Kumar's show in another room.
Hmmm...................seriously, half the crowd in The Still Bar were lesbians/butches!!! Other than that, there's a mix. There were people as young as teens, and people of around our age. There were executives as well as ah bengs. Lol. Really is 龙门客栈.
The night's total expenses came up to a total of around $200, around $100 each for either venue. Both places give 15% discount for AMEX cards, except on the cover of Kumar show. We will probably ONLY return for Kumar, and nothing else.

Comments: Really enjoyed the show throughout. Never a boring moment. Either you're so engrossed with the suspense and thrills, or you're laughing out loud with the humorous scenes. Although made up of 3 stories, each story is very well-executed; i.e, you wont feel that it's either too long or too short. Nothing to shout about for the story, more importantly, I thought there is the essence of a horror show; that is, suspense and thrills. =)
Shag Shag Shag~~~ Just a quick entry. It's was my honey's birthday on 4th Dec, Tuesday. We had a tiff on his birthday eve and it wasnt really until like 6th Dec then we made up. Talked about bad timing. But still, being the very nice wifey I am, I still plan some stuff although I was still pretty pissed off with him that time. Went for body polish and massage at Spa Rael(Goodwood Park Hotel, beside Fareast Plaza)) with Huey's compliments!! It's actually my birthday present but Huey bought me the Groupon 2pax option to enjoy with hubby. So sweet of her!! =) We top up S$38 for the couple suite and the room was pretty big, with 2 massage beds wide apart, a cosy jacuzzi and a shower cubicle. We did enjoy the massage, however, I just feel the scrub used was kinda too rough.
Bought dearie to The Pump Room, Clarke Quay for their very nice cod.
Service sucks big big time, AS USUAL. For most of the times, we need to yell stupidly for attention. And guess what, the number of servers were like 3 times more than the customers(only us and another table) but yet each and every sickening FT was like bloody busy daydreaming and staring at the cash register.
Thank god the grilled cod did not disappoint! We both enjoyed the cod(S$38) very very much. It comes in this super thick succulent piece, perfect texture with each slice as crisp as well as delicate like a pure white rose petal. Wonderful! Well-seasoned, good to eat on it's own, also good to eat with it's accompanied sauce if you love more flavor. I would say the taste is more towards Asian.
However the crab cakes(S$16) was merely OK. Fortunately we do like the mango salsa.
The salmon salad(S$18) is a disappointment and rip off.
The raw salmon was warm and pretty tasteless. Warm salmon sashimi is gross to the max.
I had very little little time to shop for dearie's pressie due to work. It gets harder and harder to buy something ideal because he already owns many stuff from different brands, in different prints and I wished to get him something which he haven seen before. Not to mention, my whole agency carries branded stuff. I wish to get him something different and not as common. But yet, I want something durable, scratch-resistant too. He definitely needs a wallet. Finally I got it. Am very pleased with my choice too. =)

Pretty scratch resistant and definitely more durable and outstanding than their classic range of wallets. It's one of dearie's favorite brand too because he likes something more subtle and not as loud. Yes I think he likes it. =)

Comments: Before watching, the title, poster and everything just reminds me of my favorite movie, "Taken". Hands up if you feel this way too. However, Nicholas Cage's movies haven been able to impress me to date but "Stolen" is really 1 exception!! Plot was well executed with surprises and thrills. Kinda funny at some parts too. It's certainly 1 show that you shouldnt miss!
Comments: Wow...so many eye candies. =) A plot with many loopholes, not very well executed. More theory than actions. Slightly disappointed. However, will still catch part 2 for Tony Leung and Rahman. =)

To cut the long story short;
Pros:
- Requires little effort to push it around the house; i.e, it's not heavy
- Cleans reasonably well in relatively short time. Floor is clean and smooth
- Looks more expensive than it really is and is of acceptable quality
- Automatically switched off when water ran out in tank
- Heats up extremely fast - i.e, able to start mopping in less than a minute after water is poured into tank
Cons:
- Power chord too damn short, only 5metres.
Thank god I have power supply in every corner of my house, otherwise it's impossible to mop the whole house. For my whole house of 100sq metres(furnitures does matter too), I think I changed like 6-7 times, dont quite remember. And everytime I change, the hot steam will stop for like 20seconds before it resumes.
- Need to refill water tank of around 3-4 times for the whole house
- Does not remove stubborn stains or dirt. The pad does not hold hair or any debris at all. So it's essential to vacuum floor before mopping(which I did, but some hairs here and there is inevitable).
Overall:
I'm still very glad I bought it because it requires much lesser effort than traditional mops or Scotch-brite mops. I wont be super overly tired after mopping. And for this, because pushing it around is a breeze without straining the back, dearie can use it too. So he can help me with mopping if required. It cleans better than traditional mops too. No need for buckets, or umpteen times of washing the mop/Scotch-brite pad.
Conclusion:
This mop is very suitable for old and frail people, like me, who dont have a very strong back and suffers backaches now and then. Because it doesnt stress the back and is a breeze to be pushed around.
This mop is more suitable for small houses, like mine, but make sure you have power supply in every corner. For big houses, forget it. You can plug unplug plug unplug plug unplug plug unplug until you die~

Crayfish & Crab claw meat pasta in sambal eggy sauce.
Generous chunks of crab meat with 1 piece of crayfish. Yummy! Crayfish was fried before being tossed in the sauce. Although not super tender, does have a fragrant smell with crispy exterior. Nice~ S$15 odd.
Seared cod fish with garlic fried rice(instead of mushroom rice, top up S$1)
Nice big portion of cod at just S$16 but the sauce tastes a little odd. It doesnt tastes like cream sauce....it just tastes fishy and weird. And fish roe? Da-match.
Chocolate lava cake with icecream.
Not bad. But I dont really have a sweet tooth so both the chocolate and icecream is still alittle too sweet for me. However, for the price, S$6.80, it's a nice cake which oozes chocolate lava.
Customer service is good. Water gets re-filled again and again without being asked. Standard Chartered cards has 15% discount.
Forgive me if I cant stop raving about Note 2, because I'm really loving it. =D
Oh and I just realized if I blog from my android app, the resolutions of the pictures are small, thus blur. But thank god I dont need to transfer/sync or email them to my laptop for the full size pictures like how I used to with my iPhone. They're simply auto transferred(vice versa 2-way) to my computer's DROPBOX whenever my phone is near my laptop. I can then transfer bigger and clearer pictures to blog. However, the bad point means I'm unable to blog with big and clear pictures if I'm outside with only my Note 2.
I might be slow, but I finally got around to customizing it. And I'm really happy with the results because not only are they pleasing to my eyes, they proved to be extremely useful as well when they came with the added flexible options and functions.
Firstly, I downloaded GO Launcher at Play Store, which is basically what you download if you wanna change the theme of your phone, including the wallpapers and icons. After you have downloaded GO Launcher, then you can start to browse GO Launcher themes. And here I got mine, Flower Love GO Launcher theme.
For the panel at the top, you need to download the app, GO weather. Hmm....I am concerned with weather lately as downpours can come so suddenly. But main thing is because I like that the time is magnified in a larger font. Easier to see. Date is there too.
The 5 icons on the most bottom panel are the HOME buttons but you can actually add more by customizing it. Simply swipe left/right to view more HOME buttons. Like how I added GO SMS PRO, default call, What'sapp and CHROME in the picture below.

GO SMS PRO is what you download when you wanna change a different look/theme on your SMS screen. You can browse different themes and download them. For mine(below), I'm using GO SMS Spring Theme.

There are other stuff which you can download to further customize your phone, like GO Contacts etc. But it's kinda weird, sometimes there will be error and you have to keep trying to download it successfully. So far, I'm unable to download my theme. =(
There are many flexible options which you can choose when these apps are downloaded. Sometimes they save you the trouble to download additional apps. For example, they also got a function which is something like task killer. They have the option of pop-up SMS which you can reply there and then. You can schedule SMS as well. It's also much easier to shift your icons from page to page or edit the order of your pages. You need to explore them yourselves. I do know they will use more ram thus shortening my battery life but so far, I feel it's okay leh. Indeed it shortens battery life, but still sufficient for me.
And my favorite android app so far will be, like I mentioned before, GTunes Music Downloader. It's just super awesome to download unlimited mp3 into your playlist. And what's more, some concert versions can be found too. Only bad point is there's bound to be some broken links which causes failed downloads. Although, out of the many which I've downloaded successfully, only 1 song is of a less than great quality. So overall, I'm still super pleased with this app. While I was searching for my fave Coco Lee's tracks, I found 1 song which I've never hear before. I love love love it so much. Especially the chorus!
